Dartwood 20 LED Solar Spotlight-FAQs

Why isn’t my solar spotlight working?

If your spotlight isn’t turning on, check the rechargeable battery—it may be drained or corroded. Clean the solar panel from dust or debris and make sure it’s placed in direct sunlight. Also, verify that the switch is turned ON and that all wiring connections are secure.

How long does it take to fully charge the solar spotlight?

For best performance, charge the spotlight in direct sunlight for 5–8 hours with the switch set to OFF. Once charged, turn the switch to ON for normal operation.

Do solar lights need direct sunlight to charge?

Direct sunlight gives the best results, but the spotlight can still charge under cloudy or partially shaded conditions—though charging efficiency drops to about 10–25%.

How do I activate the solar spotlight?

Simply turn the switch to the ON position and place the spotlight where it can receive plenty of sunlight. The built-in light sensor will automatically turn it on at dusk and off at dawn.

How can I tell if my solar light is charging?

Cover the solar panel with your hand or cloth to simulate darkness—if the light turns on, it’s functioning correctly. For models with indicators, a glowing light usually means it’s charging properly.

Why is my solar spotlight blinking?

Flashing lights usually mean low battery or poor charging. Clean the panel, tighten any loose connections, and replace the rechargeable batteries if necessary.

Can I charge solar lights without sunlight?

Yes. Many solar lights can be charged using a USB port or mains charger if sunlight isn’t available. This is helpful during rainy or winter days.

How do I reset the solar spotlight?

Turn the switch OFF, remove the batteries for 30 seconds, then reinsert them and switch the light ON again. Cover the solar panel briefly to test if the reset worked.

What do the “S” and “F” modes mean?

The “S” mode stands for steady-on light, while “F” mode activates flashing light. Choose the mode that best fits your outdoor setup or aesthetic.
