The WYZE Bulb Cam is a smart home camera designed for outdoor use, intended to replace regular bulbs in porch downlights and wall lights. This innovative device monitors your outdoor areas while providing improved ambient illumination. It features a standard E26 socket, allowing for easy installation without the need for specialized tools or skills.

Setup
Setting up your WYZE Bulb Cam is a straightforward process:
- Installation: Screw the WYZE Bulb Cam into any standard E26 light socket. Ensure the light fixture is powered on.
- Positioning: The camera features a telescoping internal rod and manually adjustable pan and tilt. Extend the camera up to 1.2 inches, pan 360°, and tilt up to 90° to achieve the optimal viewing angle for your desired monitoring area.
- App Connection: Download the WYZE app on your smartphone or tablet. Follow the in-app instructions for easy Bluetooth setup. There is no need to scan QR codes during this process.
- Integration: The Bulb Cam works with Alexa, Google Assistant, and IFTTT, allowing for seamless smart home automation through Wyze Rules.

- 2K HD Resolution with WDR: Experience clear 2K HD resolution. Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) technology balances darker and lighter spots in the same scene for a more even and detailed picture.
- Color Night Vision: Benefit from full-color night vision, allowing you to see details clearly even in low-light conditions.
- Dimmable 800 Lumen LED Bulb: Customize the brightness of the long-lasting LED bulb (up to 800 lumens) directly from the Wyze app, eliminating the need for a dimmer switch.
- 24/7 Local Recording: Record continuously to a microSD card (up to 256 GB, sold separately) without requiring a subscription.
- Two-Way Audio: Communicate with people and pets from anywhere using the two-way audio feature via your smartphone.
- Motion and Sound Detection: Receive notifications on your smartphone when motion or sound is detected.
- AI Notifications: Customize alerts to be notified only when specific events like people, pets, packages, or vehicles are detected. Descriptive Alerts are available with Cam Plus Unlimited (optional subscription).
- Siren Alarm: Activate the built-in siren alarm remotely to deter unwanted visitors.
- Group Light Control: Pair up to 5 Wyze Bulb Cameras or Wyze Accessory Bulbs (sold separately) for comprehensive smart lighting control across multiple fixtures.

- Verify your Wi-Fi network is 2.4GHz (5GHz is not compatible).
- Check your Wi-Fi signal strength in the installation area.
- Restart your Wi-Fi router and the Bulb Cam (by turning the light switch off and on).
Poor Image Quality:
- Clean the camera lens.
- Ensure there are no obstructions in the camera’s field of view.
- Check app settings for resolution and WDR options.
Recording Problems:
- Ensure a compatible microSD card is properly inserted and formatted in the app.
- Check the microSD card’s storage capacity.
