How do I set up my Google Nest Cam Indoor?

Open the Nest or Google Home app, tap Add product, scan the QR code on your camera (or enter it manually), and follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.

Can I use Nest cameras without Wi-Fi?

Nest cameras need Wi-Fi to upload videos to the cloud. They can temporarily record to internal memory if Wi-Fi is lost, but this is limited.

How do I set up a used Nest Cam?

Perform a factory reset. For cameras set up in Nest, wait until the previous owner’s video history expires (up to 60 days), then pair it with your account.

How do I reset a Nest Cam?

Plug in the camera, press and hold the reset button on the back until it resets. The camera will appear as “Offline” until reconnected.

Is Nest Cam always recording?

With 24/7 Video History subscription, Nest Cams record continuously in short segments before switching to event-based recording. Internal memory alone is not accessible.
