Dartwood Dual-Shot Blaster-FAQs
Q1: How do I load the darts correctly?
A: Find the two barrels on the front. Press the orange, smart-dart-compatible darts firmly onto the posts inside each barrel until they click into place. Make sure the dart heads are facing forward and are seated all the way down for the best performance.
Q2: Why won’t my blaster fire?
A: First, check the safety lock. A red dot means it’s locked. Slide the lock forward until you see green. If it’s still not firing, you may need to prime it again. Pull the priming handle all the way back until it clicks, then push it fully forward.
Q3: How do I remove a stuck dart?
A: Never use another dart or a sharp object to remove a jam. First, ensure the blaster is not primed and the safety is on. Then, use the included dart removal tool or a blunt, flexible object like a pencil eraser to gently push the stuck dart out from the front of the barrel.
Q4: What is the effective range of the blaster?
A: The Dartwood Dual-Shot is designed for optimal accuracy and performance at short-to-mid ranges, typically up to 30 feet. For the best results, aim slightly above your target for longer distances.
Q5: Can I use darts from other brands?
A: This blaster is officially compatible with “Elite-style” darts. While other brands may fit, we strongly recommend using only official Dartwood darts to ensure proper performance, prevent jams, and avoid potential damage to the internal mechanism.
Q6: How do I know when the blaster is ready to fire?
A: The blaster is ready when the priming handle is fully pushed forward and you hear a “click.” You will also see the orange trigger through the rear housing, indicating it is in the “fire” position. Always keep the blaster pointed in a safe direction when it’s in this state.
Q7: Is the blaster safe for younger children?
A: The Dartwood Dual-Shot is recommended for ages 8 and up. All users should wear protective eyewear. It is not a toy and should be used under adult supervision. Never modify the blaster or aim at anyone’s face, eyes, or unprotected skin.
Q8: How should I store the blaster when not in use?
A: Store the blaster in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Leave the magazines empty and do not store darts loaded in the barrels, as this can weaken the spring and dart foam over time.
