Dartwood Wax Warmer- FAQs
What is a wax warmer used for?
A wax warmer melts scented wax without a flame, using a heat source like an electric bulb or heating plate. It safely releases fragrance into your home without smoke or wicks.
How do I use a Dartwood wax warmer?
Place your wax cube or melt in the warmer dish, plug in the device, and turn it on. The wax will gently melt, releasing fragrance into the room.
Can I put essential oils or perfume in a wax warmer?
Yes, a few drops of essential oil can be added to wax melts for extra fragrance. Avoid using strong chemicals or undiluted perfumes, which may damage the warmer.
Can I reuse wax melts?
Yes. Wax can be remelted 3–4 times until the fragrance fades. After that, it’s best to replace with fresh wax for optimal scent.
How long does a wax melt last?
Typically, a wax melt lasts 8–12 hours, depending on size, type of wax, and the warmer’s heat source.
What wax is best for wax warmers?
Natural soy wax is ideal, as it melts evenly, is affordable, and holds fragrance well. Coconut wax blends are also suitable.
Can I put candle wax directly in a wax warmer?
You can, but it may create a mess and may not melt as efficiently as wax cubes or melts designed for warmers.
Can I use a wax warmer with a 20W or 40W bulb?
Check the warmer’s specifications. Using a lower wattage bulb may not melt wax efficiently, while a higher wattage bulb can overheat the wax or damage the device.
How much wax should I put in the warmer?
Add enough to cover the bottom of the dish without overfilling. Overfilling can spill hot wax and reduce fragrance efficiency.
Where is the best place to put a wax warmer?
Place it on a stable surface away from edges, curtains, or flammable items. Side tables, shelves, or mantelpieces are ideal. Avoid high-traffic areas where it may get knocked over.
