Wasserstein Smart Water Temperature Humidity Sensor-FAQs
How does the Wasserstein Smart Water Temperature Humidity Sensor work?
This sensor detects changes in water, temperature, and humidity levels. When water touches its probe, it completes an electrical circuit, triggering an alert through your connected app via Wi-Fi.
How do I reset the Wasserstein Smart Water Sensor?
Press and hold the reset button on the device for about 5–10 seconds until the indicator light blinks. This restores factory settings and allows you to reconnect it to your network.
How do I set up the Wasserstein Smart Sensor?
Download the compatible app, power on the sensor, and follow the on-screen instructions to pair it with your Wi-Fi network. Place it in the area you wish to monitor, such as basements or near water heaters.
Where should I install the water temperature and humidity sensor?
Install the sensor in areas prone to leaks or high humidity—like bathrooms, kitchens, or basements. Avoid placing it near vents, fans, or doors to prevent inaccurate readings.
Can the Wasserstein Sensor detect both leaks and humidity?
Yes. It detects both water leaks and changes in humidity, helping prevent mold growth and water damage.
How do I know if my water or humidity sensor isn’t working?
If you see “Sensor Not Responding” or get no alerts, check the battery and Wi-Fi connection. Replacing the battery or reconnecting to the app usually fixes the issue.
How long do Wasserstein water sensors last?
The sensor’s battery typically lasts up to 10 years, depending on usage and environmental conditions.
How can I clean my water sensor?
Wipe the sensor’s surface gently with a damp cloth. For mineral buildup, soak the probe in mild soapy water or white vinegar for a few minutes, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
What type of temperature sensor is used in this device?
It commonly uses thermistors or RTDs (Resistance Temperature Detectors) for precise temperature measurement.
Can water sensors detect humidity levels?
Yes. This smart sensor continuously monitors humidity to alert you when levels become too high or too low.
