We recommend using a wide vision safety mask over eyeglasses or standard safety glasses with shields. Always use eye protection marked to comply with ANSI 287 287.1e safety instructions provided in this manual are not intended to cover all possible conditions that may occur during product operation. Always use common sense and pay attention to all WARNING and CAUTION statements in this manual.

Some of the following symbols may be used on this tool. Please study them and their meaning. Proper interpretation of these symbols will allow you to operate the tool better and more safely.

Work Area Safety
- Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
- Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust. Power tools create sparks, which may ignite the dust or fumes.
- Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Personal Safety

Power Tool Use and Care
- Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
- Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
- Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures reduce the risk of accidentally starting the power tool.
- Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
Battery Tool Use and Care
- See the Separate Lithium-Ion Battery Manual for More Information and Warnings.
- Recharge only with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
- Use power tools only with specifically designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may create a risk of injury and fire.
- When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects like paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws, or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
- Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If liquid contacts the eyes, seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause irritation or burns.
Service
- Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts. This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Warning:
- Do not allow familiarity with the inflater to cause carelessness. Remember that one careless moment is enough to cause severe injury. Before attempting to use any tool, be sure to become familiar with all of the operating features and safety instructions.
- Do not attempt to modify this tool or create accessories not recommended for use with this tool. Any such alteration or modification is a misuse and could result in a hazardous condition leading to possible serious personal injury.
PREPARATION
Kobalt 24V Max Battery Pack Use
To Attach Battery Pack
- Make sure thathe t the battery and Inflater are clean and free of debris.
- Align the raised portion on the battery pack with the grooves on the bottom of the inflater, then slide the battery pack into the Inflater’s Battery Adaptor (K) as shown (See 1a).
- Make sure that the latch on the battery pack snaps into place and the battery pack is secured to the tool before beginning operation.

NOTICE: When placing the battery pack on the inflater, ensure that the raised rib on the battery pack aligns with the groove on the inflater, and the latches snap into place properly. Improper assembly of the battery pack can cause damage to internal components.
To Detach Battery Pack
- Press the On/Off Power Button (B) to turn the inflater off (See 1 b).
- Press the Battery-Release Buttons (R) to release the battery pack (See 1b).
- Pull forward on the battery pack to remove it from the inflater.

- Ensure that your inflater’s battery adapter is free of any residue or debris. A dirty 24-volt power connection can cause the inflater and battery to overheat. Overheating can cause damage to your inflater/battery and could cause bodily harm or injury. Disconnect the battery when not in use.
- It is recommended that your Kobalt 24V Max Battery be fully charged to get the best performance from your inflater. If your battery is weak, the inflater will not work at its maximum output level. See Battery User’s Manual for charging and testing information.
- This inflater is designed for high-pressure inflation, to inflate: vehicle tires, bike tires, ATV tires, sports equipment, sports balls, and other high-pressure inflatables. Do not use for any purpose other than inflating. If you do so, bodily harm or personal injury can occur.
- CAUTION: Allow the inflater to cool down for 10 minutes after each 10 minutes of continuous operation.
- After using, turn off the power and disconnect the battery.
- The inflater is not a toy. Keep away from children at all times.
- Do not carry the inflater by the air hosee, as damage may occur.
- Do not leave the inflater unattended while in operation.
- Do not overinflate! Please follow the manufacturer’s instructions for the item you are inflating.
- Note: the Target PSI of “00” (zero) will allow the inflater to run until you turn it off manually or until it reaches a maximum of 120 PSI.
- Keep the inflater away from flammable areas/liquids at all times.
- Do not operate the inflater in wet areas.
- Operate the inflater only with the attachments that are included.
- USE SAFETY GLASSES. Also, use a face or dust mask if the operation is dusty.
- This inflater is not designed to fill air tanks or air shocks.
BATTERY SAVING MODE
The battery current to the inflator will automatically turn off after three (3) minutes of non-use. This is done to save battery life, should you forget to turn it off.
To turn the unit back on, press the On/Off Power Button (B) and the display light will come back on, indicating the inflater is ready to use (See 2a).
Note: The Target PSI on the Digital Pressure Gauge (D) will reset to “00” (zero) every time you restart the inflater (See 2a).

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION: DO NOT OVERINFLATE THE ITEM BEING INFLATED
WARNING: Please read, understand, and follow all warnings before using this inflater.
- Make sure that the 24V Max Battery is firmly snapped in place (see page 7) and then place the inflater on a flat surface.
- Connect the Quick Connect Valve Adaptor {G} to the item you are inflating and push down the Valve Lock Lever to secure the connection. (See 3a). Press the On/Off Power Button
(B) to tuturn theenflater on ( {See 3b). - The Digital Pressure Gauge (D) will display the current pressure (in 0.1 PSI increments) of the item you are inflating on the upper section of the LCD Screen.
- The Target PSI setting appears in the lower right section of the LCD Screen {D). Press the

Buttons (E){F) on the control panel to set the desired Target PSI. The Target PSI range is: 1 to 120 PSI (in 1.0 PSI increments). - Setting the Target PSI at “00” (zero) will allow the inflater to run until you stop it (or 120 PSI, where it will stop automatically). Use this feature with caution – always avoid over-inflation and never leave the inflater unattended when in use.
- To start the inflater, push the
Button (A).
Note: If the current pressure of the item you are inflating is greater than the Target PPSIh, the inflater will turn on – unless the Target PSI is “00” (zero) – as stated above. - To change the Target PSI level, push the
Button again (to pause inflation) and adjust the level as described above. - The inflater will shut off automatically at the desired target PSI level that you have programmed into the Target PSI setting.
Note: The inflater has a tolerance of + or – 5 PSI and will automatically shut off accordingly. - To stop the inflater before it reaches the Target PSI level, push the
Button. To resume inflation, simply press the
Button again. Press the On/Off Power Button
(B) to turn the inflater off. (The power automatically cycles off after three (3) minutes of no activity.)
Note: Any time the inflater is powered off, the Target PSI setting will reset to “00( {zero). Always check and reset the Target PSI before using this feature again.
- Remove the 24V Battery Pack and then wipe the plastic parts of the inflater clean using mild soap and warm water. Do not get moisture or water into the interior, LCD screen, moving part, or the battery adaptor. w the entire inflater to dry completely before use.}

This guarantee does not cover damage due to abuse, normal wear, improper maintenance, neglect, unauthorized repair/alteration, or expendable parts and accessories expected to become unusable after a reasonable period of use.
