GETTING TO KNOW YOUR TEA MASTER

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

IMPORTANT: Please read, understand, and comply with all of the instructions provided in this manual before using the device. Failure to comply with the instructions given in this manual or using the device not mentioned in this manual may cause serious personal injury or equipment damage.

General Safety

• DO NOT touch the base or the glass parts of the kettle while the appliance is operating or immediately after operation. These components will be hot and may cause burns or other personal injuries.
• DO NOT fill the kettle above the “MAX” line. Doing this may cause the water to boil over during operation and may result in scalding. The minimum amount of water needed for boiling is 0.5 L; too little water will result in the kettle switching off before the water has boiled.
• ALWAYS handle with care when there is hot water inside the kettle. Failure to do so may result in burns or scalding.
• Use the appliance with the specified voltage 120V, 60Hz.
• DO NOT allow children to use or play with this appliance. Always keep this kettle and its components out of reach of children.
• DO NOT use the kettle if the kettle is malfunctioning, if it is broken or chipped, or if the power cord or plug is damaged in any way. Stop using and contact Customer Support immediately (page 14).
• ALWAYS unplug the kettle when it is not being used. This will prevent moisture from causing a short circuit in the power base while it is plugged in.
• This appliance is for indoor use ONLY.

Use & Care

• ALWAYS place the kettle on a dry, flat surface.
• DO NOT place the kettle on or near heat sources such as stove tops, ovens, etc.
• DO NOT turn on the kettle while the lid is open.
• DO NOT cover the opening of the kettle while it is operating. Doing so may result in damage to the kettle.
• ALWAYS empty and clean the kettle after using it each time. If necessary, descale the kettle by following the instructions in Descaling the Kettle (page 13).
• DO NOT attempt to repair the kettle or its parts by yourself or through other third-party appliances when it is broken. Doing so may result in further damage or personal injury and will void your warranty.
• DO NOT dispose of this kettle in regular household waste.
• The kettle will be automatically shut off in 10 minutes once the setting program is completed.
• If the kettle has been taken away from the base, the system will keep the in-progress setting for 10 minutes.

Before first use

1. Remove and safely discard any packaging material or promotional labels attached to your kettle.
2. It is recommended that you fill the kettle to the maximum level with cold water before your first use, bring it to the boil by selecting the BOIL 212°F, then discard the water.
3. Your kettle will only operate when positioned on the power base. The kettle will automatically switch off when the water has reached the selected temperature.

Water test

• Do not remove the glass kettle from the package if it is broken. Contact Customer Support immediately to replace your kettle (see page 14).
• Perform the Water Test before using your kettle to make sure it is working properly. Do not drink the water that is boiled during this initial test.

USING YOUR TEA MASTER

1. Remove the tea infuser lid, fill with fresh water (enough for the cups of tea you wish to make), and replace the lid back in place.
2. Place the kettle firmly on the power base. Short-press the START CANCEL button, rotate the knob left and right to select the preset you need, and then press the START CANCEL button to start heating. The icon is always on during heating.
3. Once the water has reached the desired temperature, there will be 3 beep sounds. Then you can add your tea leaves or tea bags into the infuser.
4. The correct steep time depends on the type of tea and your personal preference. Enjoy the tea as you like.

BASIC OPERATION: POWER ON AND OFF

1. Power ON: Once plugged in, the START CANCEL indicator will keep lighting. Press down the START CANCEL button to turn on the kettle.
2. Power OFF: Press and hold the START CANCEL button for 3 seconds to turn off the kettle.

Boiling

Please follow the instructions below after the kettle is turned on properly:

1. After the kettle is turned on properly, rotate the knob left and right to select 9 different temperature presets: Boil/Black/Oolong/White/Green/Delicate/Coffee/Warm/Formula. After selecting a mode, the corresponding text will blink for a while on the LCD display.
2. Press the START CANCEL button to start boiling. Once boiling begins, the icon and the real-time temperature will be displayed on the screen.
3. Boiling completed: When the water temperature reaches the preset temperature, the boiling process will be completed. The icon will disappear, and a beep sound reminder will occur after boiling water is completed, except in mute mode.

VARIABLE TEMPERATURE CONTROL TABLE

This base lists some common tea and coffee varieties and the recommended temperature to select. It is a guideline only and may vary depending on preference, brand, and age of tea or coffee used. Experiment with your favorite tea or coffee and adjust the temperatures and steeping times to suit personal taste.

2 Hours Keep Warm

After turning on, follow the instructions below to complete the KEEP WARM setting:

1. Select Temperature/Presets: Rotate the PROGRAM knob to select your desired temperature or presets, including Black/Oolong/White/Green/Delicate/Coffee/Warm/Formula.
2. Set Keep Warm Mode: Press the KEEP WARM button to set the keep warm mode. The KEEP WARM button will light on at the same time. You will see 02:00 and the icon displayed on the LCD.
3. Finish/Cancel the Keep Warm Mode: The keep warm mode will be automatically finished in 2 hours, or you can stop the keep warm function by pressing down the KEEP WARM button. When the mode has finished or been canceled, the KEEP WARM button light will be off.

Custom Temp

After turning on, follow the instructions below to complete a Custom Temp setting:

1. Press the Custom Temp button to activate the Custom Temp setting. The actual temperature display will be blinking.
2. Rotate the PROGRAM knob to adjust the required temperature. Custom Temp range is 104–212°F.
3. Press the START CANCEL button to start heating.

Memory Mode

The kettle features an internal memory that lets you leave the kettle off the base for up to 10 minutes without it going into memory mode. When returned to the base, it will restart the heating and or Keep Warm cycles right where they left off.

Sleep Mode

If the unit is not in use for 10 minutes, it will revert to sleep mode. The heater and display will be off, but your last selections will remain in the unit’s memory.

Mute Mode

1. When the kettle is on, press and hold the CUSTOM TEMP button for 3 seconds to enter Mute mode. The mute icon is on. In Mute mode, there will be no beep sound or key tone.
2. Press and hold the CUSTOM TEMP button for 3 seconds to quit Mute mode.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

General Cleaning

We recommend cleaning the kettle after each use.

1. Unplug the power base from the electrical outlet.
2. Allow the kettle to completely cool down, then pour out any remaining water.
3. Wash the kettle with warm, soapy water. Dry it thoroughly with a soft, clean towel.

Descaling the Kettle

You should descale the kettle at least once a week if you use it frequently. Descaling removes any mineral deposits that have built up inside the kettle. Always descale the kettle after it has been stored for long periods of time and before storing it.

1. Fill the kettle with 1 cup of distilled vinegar or lemon juice and 2 cups of water (1:2 ratio).
2. Boil the mixture, then let it soak in the kettle for 2 hours.
3. Pour out the solution, then wipe the limescale away with a cloth or nonabrasive sponge.
4. Rinse the kettle with clean water and dry it with a soft cloth.
5. Repeat as needed.
