IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following:
- READ AND SAVE ALL INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE USE.
- Unplug from the outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning or removing contents from the blender container. Never put your hands into the blender container, or handle the blades with the appliance plugged in.
- To protect against electrical hazards and permanent damage to the unit, do not put the motor base of the blender in water or other liquids.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Do not use carbonated liquids in the blender container or in any blending container. Using carbonated liquids in a blender container may result in injury.
- Do not pour boiling water into the blender container.
- Do not blend liquids for more than 7 minutes.
- Avoid coming into contact with moving parts.
- Do not operate this blender or any other appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
- The use of attachments, including canning jars, not recommended by the manufacturer, may cause a risk of injury to persons.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
- Keep hands and utensils, other than the tamper provided, out of the container while blending to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the blender. The cover must remain in place when using the tamper through the cover opening. A scraper may be used, but it must be used only when the blender is not running.
- Blades are sharp. Handle carefully.
- Always operate the blender with the lid in place.
- Refer to Cleaning and Maintenance instructions. Add: Not for water jet cleaning.
- Always operate the blender with the jar pad properly in place.
- Do not fill above the MAX FILL LINE for blending.
- If the container overflows during blending, there is too much liquid or ingredients in the container. Stop blending, remove enough liquid or ingredients to below the MAX FILL LINE, and continue blending. Do not operate if overflowing.
- Do not operate your appliance in an appliance garage. When storing in an appliance garage, always unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. Not doing so could create a risk of fire, especially if the appliance touches the walls of the garage or the door touches the unit as it closes.
- The use of ear protection is recommended during extended operating periods.
- Ensure the jar coupler and motor coupler are aligned and engaged before operating. If unable to engage, remove the container and shake the contents, and then try again.
- The coupling seat may be hot after running. Do not touch.
- Replace the jar pad if worn.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- Place the motor base on an empty, flat, and sturdy surface. The surface must be clean and dry. Fit the blender jar on the motor base once assembled.
- Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet.
- Make sure the knob on the front panel is in the OFF position.
- Press the Main Power Button located on the back of the Motor Base before first use.
- The main power button turns blue to indicate main power on.
- Start filling the Jar with ingredients. Make sure ingredients do not exceed the MAX LINE on the jar.
- Place the Jar securely on the Motor Base and cover with the Lid, making sure the Measuring Cap is inserted. Push down on the Lid to ensure a tight seal.
- All actions are ready. Manual mode and preset program mode are ready for your choice. The unit will work once you define any modes.
Warning: Do not put your hands in the blender jar with the blender plugged in. Start blending.
MANUAL MODE
Turn the Knob to the desired speed by turning it clockwise from the OFF position up to the HI position. This function is ideal for blending fruits and vegetables for juice, baby food, and more. Make sure to start at the lowest speed and then increase it to the desired speed. To stop, turn the Knob counterclockwise to the OFF position. PROG PULSE mode does not work when the blender is in Manual Mode. LED lights do not illuminate in Manual Mode.
Blending foods for too long at too low a speed could overheat the blender and cause the automatic Thermal Protector to stop the blender from operating. Blending at higher speeds for shorter periods helps to avoid overheating. The blender can be used to blend dry ingredients like herbs, spices, and dry chiles. Grinding these types of ingredients may cause the Jar to retain odors and discolor. NEVER blend dry ingredients for more than 60 seconds, as it could damage the blender.
PRESET MODE
Please turn the adjustable speed knob to PROG PULSE position first. Preset and Pulse buttons, and then press the preset function button.
The following is a description of the function button:
- SMOOTHIE: Press the SMOOTHIE button (totally 45 second running time).
- SOUP: Press the SOUP button; be sure not to exceed the MAX FILL LINE (totally 7 minutes running time).
- DIPS/SPREAD: Press the Dips/Spread button (for a total of 45 seconds running time).
- PULSE: When the blender is running at any preset program, pressing and releasing the PULSE control will let you pulse ingredients on and off.
TAMPER FUNCTION
- The Tamper is for accelerating the process of blending thick and/or frozen mixtures that cannot be processed with just regular blending. Using the Tamper maintains food circulation by preventing air pockets from forming.
- Only use the Tamper included with the iCucina® High-Power Blender.
- Blender’s lid must be securely in place, and the Measuring Cap must be removed when using the Tamper. The
- Tamper’s disk and the Blender’s lid prevent the Tamper from hitting the Blades when in use.
- Blender’s Jar should be no more than 2/3 full with ingredients when using the Tamper or blending.
- If foods do not circulate, there may be air trapped in the Jar. Turn off the blender, remove the Measuring Cap, and insert the Tamper through the Lid’s opening. Also, do it at a low speed, always with the Lid on the Jar. If necessary, point the Tamper toward the sides and corners of the Jar, always with the Lid on the Jar and the Measuring Cap off.
- Do not use the Tamper for more than 30 seconds at a time to avoid overheating the blender.
- Do not try to force the Tamper deeper into the Jar as this may damage the Blade assembly and other components.
- When blending, place liquid ingredients into the Jar first, followed by the softest ingredients. Ice or frozen fruit should be placed in the Jar last. Be sure to add harder ingredients gradually to ensure proper blending.

HELPFUL REMINDERS
- Lid should always be secure while the unit is in operation. Always use the blender on a clean, sturdy, and dry surface.
- Secure the measuring cap insert in the lid by twisting it clockwise.
- Once the lid is in position, additional ingredients can be added during blending by simply removing the measuring cap insert, adding ingredients, and replacing it, turning it to secure.
- Do not place the blender jar on the base while the motor is running, or remove the blender jar before the blender has stopped running.
- Do not attempt to blend boiling liquids.
- When blending, place liquid ingredients into the jar first, followed by the softest ingredients. Ice or frozen fruit should be placed in the jar last.
- Use a plastic spatula as needed, only when the blender is turned off. Never use metal utensils, as damage may occur to the blender jar or blade.
- When the blender has been running for 7 minutes, it will automatically shut off unless it is in SOUP mode, which operates for 7 minutes.
- Use the Pulse function for maximum power to break up hard ingredients.
- Do not exceed the MAX FILL LINE when adding food or liquid to the blending jar.
- Do not store food or liquids in the blender jar.
- Be careful not to overprocess foods.
- Do not use any utensil inside the blender jar with the motor on.
- Unplug the blender before reaching into the blender jar.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Always unplug the blender from the electrical outlet before cleaning. Never immerse the blender base in water or other liquids.
- Remove the blender jar from the blender base and remove the lid. The jar must be cleaned and dried after each use or when the blender has not been used for an extended period of time.
- Wash the lid in warm, soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- The blender jar, blade assembly, and lid assembly are all dishwasher safe.
- To clean the blender base, wipe the exterior with a soft cloth or sponge dampened with cleaning solution. Do not immerse the base in cleaning solution or water. Wipe with a dry towel and be sure the base is completely dry before using.
- Be sure that the blender is thoroughly dry and properly assembled with the jar pad in place before operating. An authorized service representative should perform any other servicing.

iCucina BL3445 High Speed Kitchen Blender-FAQs
What can I use the iCucina BL3445 High Speed Kitchen Blender for?
The iCucina BL3445 is designed to blend fruits, vegetables, nuts, ice, and other ingredients into smoothies, soups, sauces and dips. It’s ideal for everyday kitchen tasks like preparing protein shakes, creamy soups, homemade nut butters, and frozen desserts. Its powerful motor and blade design help break down even tough ingredients for smooth, consistent results every time.
How powerful is the motor in the iCucina BL3445 blender?
This model features a robust 1500-watt (or equivalent high-power) commercial-grade motor that can handle heavy-duty blending jobs. The strong motor helps crush ice, pulverize seeds, and blend tough vegetables quickly and efficiently, making it suitable for both daily use and larger batch preparations.
What safety features does this blender include?
The BL3445 includes an anti-leak lid, BPA-free tritan container, non-slip feet for stability, and a secure fit jar pad to keep everything in place while blending. Its robust design and materials ensure safe operation for family use, including making baby food or hot soups (when cooled appropriately).
Can I make hot soup in this blender?
You can blend warm or pre-cooked ingredients to make soups, but avoid adding boiling liquids directly into the jar, as very hot liquids can build pressure and cause spills or damage. Let ingredients cool slightly before blending to ensure safe operation and avoid risking the gasket or jar seal.
What capacity and material is the blender jar?
The blender comes with a large 64 oz (2-liter) BPA-free tritan jar. Tritan is durable, shatter-resistant, and dishwasher-safe, making it convenient for preparing large batches of smoothies, sauces, or soups for families and gatherings without worrying about harmful chemicals.
Does the iCucina BL3445 have preset functions or speed control?
Yes. It offers variable speed control and pre-programmed settings (such as smoothie, soup, and dip modes) that let you choose the right blending texture with the touch of a button. This makes it easy to get consistent results without guesswork.
Is the iCucina BL3445 suitable for crushing ice and frozen fruits?
Yes. Thanks to its powerful motor and aerospace-grade stainless steel blades, this blender crushes ice and frozen fruits efficiently. For best texture and to reduce strain on the motor, add a bit of liquid first and place harder ingredients on top of softer ones when blending.
How long will the blender last with regular use?
With normal household use and proper care (avoiding overfilling, not blending excessively hot liquids, and cleaning regularly), the BL3445 is built to last several years. The commercial-grade motor and quality components are designed for durability and frequent use in home kitchens.
What should I do if the blender stops working or overheats?
If the motor shuts off during heavy use, it may be the thermal protector activating to prevent damage. Unplug the blender and let it cool for about 15 minutes before trying again. If it still does not operate properly, contact iCucina customer service for professional support or repair information.
