Application scenario switching

Short press mode selection key [0]you can choose 5 inflatable scene modes. They are:Airmoto ‎BP198 Tire Inflator Portable Air Compressor 9

Unit switching

Short press the unit switch key [m], and you can switch the air pressure display unit. The unit conversion formula is shown below

1PSI = 6.89KPA 1BAR = 100KPA 1Kg/cm? = 98KPA

Preset pressure value

Short press +/- button [p]: Adjust the preset pressure value +/- 0.5PSI

Long press +/- button [p]: can quickly adjust the preset pressure value

Note: The scene switch and preset pressure value are automatically saved by the software. You only need to switch the scene for the next use, and the preset pressure is automatically set.

Hose connection

The connection of the hose is shown in the following figure:Airmoto ‎BP198 Tire Inflator Portable Air Compressor 5

Start inflation

Short press the inflation switch [n] to start inflation. The digital display of the real-time air pressure value [f] changes during inflation. Noise will be generated during inflation, and the hose produces high
temperatures during long-term work. Avoid prolonged contact with hose and hose joints by hand [b].

Stop Inflation

* Short press the inflation switch [n] to stop inflation manually.

* When the measured pressure [f] reaches the preset pressure [h], stop inflation automatically.Airmoto ‎BP198 Tire Inflator Portable Air Compressor 6

LED Lighting

* Long press LED [m] to turn on LED lighting.
* Press and hold the LED light button [m] to turn off the LED light.

Hose storage

The hose can be stored in the storage hole as the following figure shows, just put the thread head of the hose inside the hole to store it.

Measuring pressure

After switching on, connect the air pipe to the measured object, and the measured pressure value [f] shows the current pressure value.

Air release valve

Connect the air pipe to the measured object and press the air release valve [a] to deflate.

Clearing the pressure

After switching on, when the measured pressure value is not zero, press the preset +/- key [m] for 3 seconds at the same time to enter auto clear.

Note: The product has been cleared from the factory. When the difference in altitude or the sensor tolerance shows that the measured pressure is not zero, manual clearing can improve the accuracy of pressure detection. Do not connect inflatable objects when clearing.

High-temperature safety precautions

When the hose is unscrewed, the air pipe and the joint will generate high temperatures due to long-term work. Do not touch it with your hands for a long time.

Airmoto ‎BP198 Tire Inflator Portable Air Compressor-FAQs

How long does it take to inflate a tire with a portable air compressor?

Inflating a standard car tire typically takes less than 10 minutes. You can also use it to quickly inflate sports balls without needing a manual pump.

How does a portable air inflator work?

A portable inflator uses a small motor to drive gears that move a piston. As the piston pushes upward, it forces air into the hose and into the tire. A valve prevents air from escaping while the piston refills with more air for the next cycle.

What is the ideal PSI for inflating tires?

Most passenger vehicles require a tire pressure between 30 and 35 PSI. However, always check your vehicle’s manual for the exact recommendation to ensure even tire wear, a smooth ride, and better fuel efficiency.

How long does it take to charge the Airmoto air compressor?

The Airmoto inflator takes about 2-3 hours to fully charge and can provide up to 40 minutes of continuous use.

What is the recommended PSI for different car sizes?

1. Small cars: Around 30 PSI
2. Medium-sized cars: Around 36 PSI
3. Large vehicles: Around 42 PSI
Remember, tire pressure increases by 4-6 PSI when the tires are warm.

How long does an air pump battery last after charging?

With a full charge, the battery can provide 1-2 hours of continuous inflation. If used occasionally, it can hold a charge for several months.

How much air does a portable inflator add per second?

On average, a tire inflates by approximately 1 PSI every 1.5 seconds, depending on the compressor’s power and the tire’s size.

What PSI should an air compressor have for optimal performance?

Most air tools require 70-90 PSI for efficient operation. It’s best to use an air compressor that provides slightly more PSI than needed to ensure consistent airflow.

Can a portable air compressor drain a car battery?

Yes, if powered by a car battery, the compressor can drain it quickly. To prevent this, keep the vehicle running while using the inflator.
