Owner’s Instructions

NOTE: To avoid serious injury or death from electrical shock or fire:
- DO NOT handle this fixture or try to plug it in when your hands are wet or damp, or when you are standing on a wet or damp surface or in water.
- This fixture MUST ALWAYS BE USED in accordance with all electrical and safety codes and ordinances, including the most recent National Electric Code (NEC) and with the Occupational Safety and Health Ace (OSHA) Volume 1 on General Industry Standards and interpretations.
- ONLY USE the UL-listed battery charger, or 12V DC plug supplied with the fixture.
- DO NOT replace batteries.
- DO NOT work on this battery pack
- DO NOT disassemble fixture. The fixture does not have any user-serviceable parts.
- FIXTURE IS NOT WATERPROOF and is not intended for use in showers, saunas, or in WATER BECAUSE FATAL ELECTROCUTION COULD RESULT. NEVER ATTEMPT TO PICK UP PLUGGED-IN APPLIANCES WHEN THEY FALL INTO potentially wet locations. ALWAYS keep this fixture away from sinks, tubs, showers, etc.
- This fixture is intended for use as a general indoor lighting fixture. DO NOT use in potentially dangerous locations, such as flammable or explosive atmospheres.
- NEVER operate the light with the clear protective lens removed.
- KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
- DO NOT dispose of the battery in a fire.
- KEEP AWAY from excessive heat or flame.
- DO NOT short the positive-negative terminals together.
- DO NOT look directly into the light.
- NiMH batteries may be disposed of in standard municipal waste systems.
Operation
- Depress the switch in the handle once to turn on the floodlight LED lights.
- Depress the switch a second time to turn the floodlight off and the spotlight on.
- Depress the switch a third time to turn both the floodlight and spotlight on.
- Depress the switch a fourth time to turn both lights off.
Recharging Utility Light
- Remove the cap on the bottom of the worklight handle.
- When charging with an AC adapter, insert the battery charger plug into the jack on the worklight handle and the other end into a standard 110-120V AC outlet.
- When charging with a DC adapter, insert the battery charger plug into the jack on the worklight handle and the other end into a standard 12-volt DC outlet.
NOTE: Batteries will reach full charge in about 2 hours. The LED indicator light glows red while the batteries are charging. When the light is fully charged, the LED indicator turns green.
Hanging Utility Light
- The hanging hook can rotate 360°.
- Magnet rotates 360° for attachment to vertical metal surfaces. Clings to most metal surfaces.
WARNING: Do not use a magnet for horizontal overhead mounting.
CAUTION: Do not slide on finished painted surfaces as the magnet may scratch the finish.
Maintenance
Before performing any maintenance, ALWAYS unplug the worklight. Remove dirt and grime as soon as it accumulates. Use a soft, damp cloth and a mild soap, if needed. Be sure not to get the electrical plug wet. NEVER submerge any part of the worklight in any solution to clean it. DO NOT USE solvents such as gasoline, turpentine, etc. to clean the unit. Aerosols and other chemicals may fog the clear polycarbonate lens.
One Year Full Warranty on Worklight.
If this product fails due to a defect in material or workmanship within one year from the date of purchase, RETURN IT TO YOUR NEAREST SEARS STORE OR CRAFTSMAN OUTLET IN THE UNITED STATES, and it will be replaced free of charge. This warranty applies for only 90 days from the date of purchase if this Craftsman Worklight is used for commercial or rental purposes. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights, which vary from state to state.
