IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

• Check the voltage to be sure that the voltage indicated on the name plate of Arzum Okka Minio Technical Specifications corresponds with your voltage. Our company shall not be liable for any malfunction that may occur in the event of any discrepancy; therefore, any malfunction resulting from a discrepancy is out of warranty.
• Arzum Okka Minio should only be operated by plugging into a grounded electrical socket connected in accordance with the regulations. Do not use extension cords that supply improper current in order to prevent damage to your machine.
• Any repair for this electrical device or its power supply should be conducted by authorized customer service personnel to avoid danger.
• Please contact Arzum Customer Services if it needs to be repaired. Our company shall not be liable for any malfunction that may occur due to misuse; therefore, any malfunction resulting from misuse is out of warranty.
• To protect against electric shock, DO NOT clean and immerse the machine and power cord in water. The machine is electrically operated; avoid touching the plug with wet hands to protect against electric shock.
• This appliance should be used by people who are informed, supervised, and instructed to use this appliance in a safe manner and understand the risks. Do not let children play with the appliance and cord. Close adult supervision is required when the appliance is used or cleaned by children.
• Attention: Keep children away from all packing materials, as these materials pose a potential danger that can cause death as a result of choking. This machine is intended to be used in places such as houses and other places.
• In shops, offices, and kitchens for staff in other workplaces,
• Farmhouses,
• In motels, hotels, and other residential-type locations,
• In sleeping places and breakfast halls,
• Do not use outdoors; always avoid keeping the machine at zero or below zero.
• Use Arzum Okka Minio ALWAYS on a hard, flat level surface. Do not place the appliance on the edge of the table or countertop, as the appliance can fall down. Remember, your appliance could be filled with hot coffee.
• Do not use Arzum Okka Minio on or near hot surfaces, heat resources, near a flame, or fiery steam. (Ex: top of hot oven, heater, stove, etc.) Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or countertop or to contact other devices.
• Do not leave Arzum Okka Minio unaccompanied and unattended during operation.
• When using your coffeemaker for the first time, simply put water into the coffee pot and operate your appliance, then discard the wastewater.
• Do not start the brewing coffee process without putting water into the coffee pot. There is water-secure security implementation on your appliance. In case operating without water, the appliance will shut off after a while and will not be restarted until it cools down.
• Do not put any material into the coffee pot except water, coffee, and sugar.
• The coffee pot should only be used with this appliance; do not use it with any other heater. (Ex: oven, microwave oven, etc.)
• Serve your brewed coffee with a cup; do not drink from the coffee pot.
• To handle/carry the coffee pot, always use a carrying handle.
• Please, unplug from outlet your appliance when your appliance is not in use, before cleaning, and allow the coffee pot to cool.
• Please find detailed information about cleaning the appliance in the Cleaning and Maintenance section.
• Always unplug Arzum Okka Minio when the coffeemaker is not in use for a long time and/or a malfunction occurs,/or poses a danger.
• While pulling the plug, NEVER pull at the grid cable; always pull the plug itself.
• Make sure that you unplug from the outlet when performing cleaning and maintenance applications.

USE OF MACHINE

• Wipe off the main body of the appliance before first use. The coffee pot can be rinsed under tap water. After putting water into the coffee pot at MAX level, operate the machine and discard the waste water, and allow the appliance to cool.
• Your Arzum Okka Minio Turkish Coffee Machine heats during use; therefore, do not touch hot surfaces.
• You can only make coffee with your coffee maker. Do not use any liquids or solutions in order to boil or heat.
• You can make coffee for 1-4 people with your Arzum Okka Minio Turkish Coffee Machine.
• When you plug in your machine, the status light will turn white with a beeping sound.
• Put enough water into the coffee pot for the number of people. Use the Arzum Okka Minio teaspoon to put exact required quantity of Turkish coffee. Add the required quantity of sugar and toss to prevent ball formation. Make sure the mixture does not exceed the max level in the coffee pot.
• Once you place your appliance on the energy transmission base and press the start button, the status light will turn red and start the brewing process. When the brewing process ends, your appliance will give a warning beep, and the status light will turn white again.
• Never displace the coffee pot during the brewing process. In case you displace the coffee pot while still brewing for any reason and it is not placed in 6 minutes, the coffeemaker will stop brewing and the red status light will turn white.
• You can easily take the coffee pot to serve when the brewing process is done.
• Always clean the coffee pot after each use. You can wash the coffee pot easily under tap water. Do NOT wash the coffee pot in the dishwasher. Rinse the coffee pot after washing.

SUGGESTIONS FOR BREWING STRONG TURKISH COFFEE

Arzum Okka Minio is a practical appliance designed to prepare Turkish coffee in an ideal consistency by simmering. In the table below, you can find suggested ideal measures for preparing delicious Turkish Coffee.

• Displayed amount is for one person.
• 1 scale is the suggested amount of coffee. Depending on a strong or soft coffee, you may use more or less coffee to your taste.
• Use fresh coffee for a delicious and foamy Turkish coffee

Brewing:

1. Insert the plug. Your appliance will turn on automatically, and the status light will turn white.
2. According to the above suggested scales, firstly add coffee, then sugar, and then water to the cooking coffee pot. Slightly mix with a spoon (Figure 1)
3. Your appliance can make coffee for up to 4 people at a time. As your cup sizes may vary, pay attention not to exceed the water-coffee-sugar mixture beyond the MAX level line in the coffee pot. Otherwise, coffee may not brew well and/or boil over the coffee pot. (Figure-2)
4. Place the coffee pot in the appliance. (Figure-3) Note: If you do not place the coffee pot in its spot correctly, your appliance will not start brewing.
5. Press the start button located on the front panel. (Figure-4)
6. The appliance will give a warning sound (beep) to start, and the status light around the start button will turn red. (Figure-5)
7. Brewing duration;
8. After the brewing process has finished, your appliance will give a warning beep, and the red status light turns white and goes into sleep mode. You may completely turn off your appliance by unplugging out.
9. After cooking, you can serve your coffee by pouring it into the cup. Note: In order to prevent the residue of foam and coffee grounds in the coffee pot, shake the coffee pot slightly and then pour. (Figure-7)
10. If you wish to cancel the brewing process for any reason, just press the start button.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait for the coffee pot to cool down.
• Wash the coffee pot under a tap with water by removing it from the appliance, and dry out the bottom, exterior, and sides with a dry fabric.
• Dry out the main body as well as the exterior side of the coffee pot where the energy transmission base is located, only with dry fabric, NEVER plunge it into water or wash it in the dishwasher.
• Do not clean any of the appliance accessories with harsh and chemical cleaners (bleach, hydrochloric acid, etc.) except the cleaners used for this type of device. Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal objects, hard sponges, wire brushes, or harsh cleaners to clean the appliance.
• Wipe the cooking sensor with a wet fabric after each use. (Figure-8)

Removing Calcification

• Lime inside the water used in time may pile up inside the coffee pot and thus may reduce the performance of your appliance.
• You can clean your appliance’s coffee pot with a decalcifying product specific to electrical kitchen appliances or you may try environmentally friendly solutions such as white vinegar.
• In order to clean your appliance’s coffee pot with white vinegar, pour enough white vinegar to cover the base of your appliance’s decanter

HANDLING AND SHIPMENT

• During handling and shipment, your appliance must be kept in its original package in order to prevent damage to its parts.
• Keep at the normal position during shipment.
• Do not drop the product when transporting, and protect it from impacts.
• After delivery of the product, failures and damages that may occur while transporting are not covered by warranty
