  1. A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
  2. An extension cord may be purchased and used if care is exercised in its use.
  3. If an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be at least as great as the electrical rating of the appliance. The resulting extended cord must be arranged so that it will not drape over a countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over accidentally.

POLARIZED PLUGS

Bene Casa BC-99210 Multi Cooker User Manual-1

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to reverse this safety feature or modify the plug in any way. If the plug fits loosely into the AC outlet or if the AC outlet feels warm do not use that outlet.

PARTS FUNCTION

STAINLESS STEEL HOUSING

The housing contains the electronics, the buttons, and the heating element. Always use it with the interior cooking pot in place. NEVER ADD INGREDIENTS DIRECTLY TO THE HOUSING. Cleaning by wiping with a soft, damp cloth. NEVER submerge in water.

PRESSURE RELEASE VALVE

  • STAINLESS STEEL HOUSING
The housing contains the electronics, the buttons, and the heating element. Always use it with the interior cooking pot in place. NEVER ADD INGREDIENTS DIRECTLY TO THE HOUSING. Cleaning by wiping with a soft, damp cloth. NEVER submerge in water.
  • PRESSURE RELEASE VALVE
The pressure release valve switch controls the steam in the pressure cooker with 3 functions STEAM, PRESSURE & CLEAN. STEAM: The valve is in the up position, steam from the pot can escape. PRESSURE: The valve is in the down position, and seals and builds pressure in the pot. CLEAN: The valve can be removed to be cleaned.
  • FLOATING VALVE
Safety feature. As the cooker builds pressure, this valve is pushed up which creates a seal, locking the lid.
  • PRESSURE SAFETY VALVE
Safety feature that allows excess pressure to escape if too much pressure builds up.
  • SELF LOCKING LID
Safety lid that will not open until no pressure remains in the pot.
  • SEALING RING/GASKET
Silicone ring that creates an airtight seal that lets the pressure cooker come to pressure.
  • ANTI-BLOCK SHIELD
The metal shield covers the opening of the pressure release valve. It prevents food and foam from entering the pressure release valve.
  • CONDENSATION COLLECTOR
Catches excess moisture that is released during cooking.

BEFORE FIRST USE

Remove all accessories and read this manual carefully. Please pay particular attention to operational instructions and cautions to avoid any injury or property damage.

  1. Wash the inside of the lid and the inner pot with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry thoroughly. Make sure the water is fully drained after washing.
  2. Clean the outside of the cooker base with a clean damp cloth.Bene Casa BC-99210 Multi Cooker User Manual-3

SAFE LID OPENING

  1. Make sure the pressure cooking program is complete or press “Keep-Warm/Cancel” to terminate the program.
  2. Release pressure by one of the following approaches.
    Quick Release
Turn the pressure release valve to the “Steam” position to let out steam until all the pressure is released.
    Natural Release
    • Allow the cooker to cool down naturally until the float valve drops down. Depending on the amount of food inside, this may take 10 to 15 minutes or even longer.
    • After cooking is finished, the cooker will be in Keep Warm mode.
    • Place a wet towel on the lid to speed up cooling.
  3. Open the lid: Hold the lid handle, turn the lid counterclockwise to the open position, and lift the lid to open. To avoid vacuum suction on the lid, turn the pressure release to the “Steam” position to let in air when lifting the lid.

COOKING PREPARATION

  1. Open the lid
Please pick up the lid handle, and rotate it approximately 30 degrees counterclockwise. Then lift the lid from the cooker body.Bene Casa BC-99210 Multi Cooker User Manual-6
  2. Check whether all parts on the lid are assembled properly
Check the float valve and pressure release valve for obstructions. Make sure that the sealing ring is well seated inside its holding rack. The anti-block shield is installed properly and the float valve can move up and down easily.
  3. Take out the inner pot, and add food and liquid
For all pressure cooking programs, pre-cooked food and liquid should NEVER pass 2/3 of the inner pot capacity. When cooking food that expands during cooking such as rice, beans, or dried vegetables, do not fill past 1/2 of the inner pot capacity. Overfilling may risk clogging the pressure release valve and developing excess pressure. This may also cause leakage, personal injuries, or damage to the unit. For non-pressure cooking programs, do not fill past the MAX line.Bene Casa BC-99210 Multi Cooker User Manual-7
  4. Place the inner pot inside the cooker base
Be sure to remove any food debris. Wipe dry the outside of the inner pot and the heating plate inside the cooker base. After putting the inner pot inside the cooker base, rotate the inner pot slightly to ensure good contact between the inner pot and the heating element.Bene Casa BC-99210 Multi Cooker User Manual-8
  5. Close the lid completely
Place lid on cooker aligning locking pin with the condensation cup area. Rotate the lid counterclockwise approximately 30 degreed until locking pin clicks into place.Bene Casa BC-99210 Multi Cooker User Manual-9
  6. Position the pressure release handle properly
When running any of the programs except “Keep-Warm” or “Slow Cook”, align the pointed end of the pressure release handle to “Pressure” position, indicating that the pressure cooker is in the sealed position. The “Slow Cook” and “Keep-Warm” functions can operate with or without the lid. Bene Casa BC-99210 Multi Cooker User Manual-10

  6. Press the WARM/CANCEL button to begin cooking. The indicator light will stop flashing.
  7. If you forget to select a desired cooking time or forget to press the WARM/CANCEL button, the unit will beep twice and the digital display will read 0.0 after 30 seconds.
  8. When the cooking time is up the unit will beep.

DELAY TIME SETTING

This function allows you to begin cooking food up to 8 hours later in half hour increments. You can use the delayed time setting with slow cook, steam, high and low pressure. CUATION: Perishable foods such as meat and poultry products, fish, cheese and dairy products cannot be left at room temperature for more than 2 hours. (No longer than 1 hour when the room temperature is above 90F.) When cooking these foods, do not set the delay time fuction for more than 1-2 hours.

CLEANING/ MAINTENANCE

Do not wash any parts of the pressure cooker in the dishwasher. Always wash the pressure cooker thoroughly after every use, or if it has not been used for an extended period of time.

  4. Remove the condensation reservoir by pulling down. Clean with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Replace by pushing up.
  5. Turn the lid upside down, grasp the rubber gasket on either side and pull up. Clean the rubber gasket in warm soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Replace the gasket by pushing it down inside the edge of the lid. Make sure the groove in the center of the gasket is positioned around the metal ring on the inside edge of the lid. Note: If the gasket is not positioned properly, the unit will not work.
  6. Press down and turn the pressure regulator knob counterclockwise to the CLEAN setting and carefully remove, Wash with warm soapy water.
  7. Turn the lid over and place on a table top. Pull out the anti-blocking shield . Using a brush, check and remove any food or foreign particles that may be lodged in the floating valve. Replace the anti-blocking shield.
  8. The bottom of the removable cooking pot, in the area of the sensor pad, must be cleaned after each use. Wipe with a soft damp cloth and be sure to dry thoroughly.
  9. Never use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean any of the parts.
