BlueDri BD-MS35 Max Storm Commercial Air Mover -FAQs
What is the BlueDri BD-MS35 Max Storm and what tasks is it best suited for?
The BlueDri BD-MS35 Max Storm is a commercial-grade air mover designed for high-performance air circulation, drying and restoration tasks. With a powerful 1/3 HP motor and up to 2900 CFM airflow, it excels at drying wet floors, carpets, walls, and venting large spaces after water damage or construction work. Its rugged, lightweight design also makes it popular with restoration professionals.
How does the Max Storm compare energy-wise to similar air movers?
Despite its strong output, the BD-MS35 is relatively energy efficient, drawing around 3.3 amps at high speed, which helps keep operating costs down compared with older or less efficient commercial fans. This makes it a balanced choice for frequent use in commercial settings.
What warranty and support can users expect with this model?
The BlueDri BD-MS35 typically comes with a 1-year limited warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship from the manufacturer. Warranty terms may vary by retailer or region, so check your purchase documentation for full details.
What maintenance does the Max Storm 35 require?
Routine maintenance is minimal: keep the intake and outlet clear of debris, wipe down the housing to prevent dust buildup, and check the power cord for damage. Because of its rotary-molded polyethylene body, it’s built to withstand rough use with little ongoing servicing.
Can this air mover be used for residential drying jobs?
While designed for professional use, the Max Storm BD-MS35 can also be used in residential situations like basements, garages, or after floods. However, due to its high airflow and commercial focus, it may be louder and more powerful than typical residential fans, so consider noise tolerance and space size before use.
Is the BD-MS35 safe to use in commercial environments?
Yes — the unit is C-ETL-US listed for safety, comes with a grounded plug and built-in circuit breaker, and meets standard electrical safety requirements for commercial equipment. Its rotomolded polyethylene construction also enhances durability in tough job site conditions.
How easy is the Max Storm 35 to transport and store?
Despite its power, the BD-MS35 weighs around 26.4 lbs with a compact footprint (approx. 17.3″ W × 16″ L × 18″ H), making it highly portable. It includes an ergonomic handle and integrated cord wrap to make transporting between job sites or storing in vehicles more convenient.
What are the speed settings and positioning options?
This air mover has three speed settings that let you tailor airflow to specific tasks or space sizes. It can also be positioned at three angles (0°, 45°, 90°) to direct airflow where you need it most — from floor to wall or elevated drying — improving versatility for different jobs.
Can I use multiple units together for bigger jobs?
Yes — the BD-MS35 includes a GFCI outlet that allows safe daisy-chaining of up to five units. This lets users link multiple blowers together to cover larger areas or increase drying performance without needing additional wall outlets, which is especially useful in commercial or restoration environments.
