IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING
When using any electrical appliance, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be taken to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury, including the following:
- This appliance is intended for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY and similar applications such as:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices, and other working environments;
- farmhouses;
- clients in hotels, motels, and other residential-type environments;
- bed and breakfast settings
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or a lack of experience and knowledge – unless they have been given instruction and or guidance concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Use only on an appropriate benchtop sitting away from flammable materials such as curtains, draperies, and walls of similar nature, as a fire may occur if it comes in contact or becomes covered during operation.
- Do not place on or near a hot gas, electric burner, or in a heated oven.
- To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not operate any heating appliance beneath or near the mounted charging base.
- Do not mount or store the blender over or near a portion of a heating or cooking appliance, or a sink/washbasin.
- Never submerge any portion of the base/ motor in liquids. Only the blending/mixing blade has been designed for submersion in liquids. If the base/motor falls into liquid, remove it immediately. Carefully remove, clean, and dry the base/motor thoroughly before continuing.
- Blades are very sharp. Always handle with care and store the blade away from you.
- Never place the blade on the base unless the tumbler is properly attached.
- Never leave your blender unattended while it is running.
- Twist the blade firmly onto the tumbler. Injury can result if the moving blade accidentally becomes exposed.
- Do not blend steaming-hot liquids as they can be ejected out of the appliance due to sudden steam.
- Do not blend carbonated beverages.
- To safely turn the motor off, release the Power button.
- To avoid damage to the USB cord, do not let the cord come into contact with any hot surfaces, including a stovetop.
- The USB power adapter and USB cable should be plugged into an electrical outlet away from a sink or a hot surface.
- Do not use an extension cord. Plug the USB power adapter directly into an electrical outlet.
- Unplug the USB power adapter from the outlet before attempting any routine cleaning, assembling, disassembling, or cleaning of the charger.
- Do not operate a damaged USB power adapter and replace it immediately.
- Recharge only with the USB power adapter specified by the manufacturer. A USB power adapter (5VDC/2000mA output) that is suitable for one type of battery pack may create a risk of fire when used with another battery pack.
- Do not let the USB cable hang over the edge of the table or benchtop.
- Do not expose a battery pack or appliance to fire or excessive heat. Exposure to fire or temperatures above 130°C may cause an explosion.
- Do not incinerate the personal blender, even if severely damaged; the batteries contain lithium-ion ion which may explode in high temperatures and start a fire.
- Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior, resulting in fire, explosion, or risk of injury.
- Under abusive/extreme conditions, leaks from battery cells can occur. If the liquid gets on the skin, (1) wash quickly with soap and water or (2) neutralise with mild acid such as lemon juice or vinegar. If the liquid gets into the eyes, flush them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes. Seek medical attention
- Recommended ambient charging and storage temperature: 10°C−40°C.
- The use of attachments or accessories is not recommended by Cuisinart may be hazardous.
- Make sure the appliance is off and the motor/blade has stopped completely before taking off attachments and before cleaning.
- Do not clean with metal scouring pads. Pieces can break off the pad and touch electrical parts, posing a risk of electric shock.
- While cleaning, do not try to dislodge any food when the blender is plugged in; always unplug it when cleaning.
- Any other servicing should be performed by an authorised service representative.
- DO NOT LEAVE OUTDOORS.

QUICK TIPS
- When using your blending tumblers, ingredients are put in from hardest to softest, e.g,. Ice cubes, frozen fruit, spinach, milk, etc.
- Cut most foods into 2-3cm pieces to achieve the most consistent results.
- If food sticks to the sides of the tumbler when blending, stop the blender and carefully scrape down the food and replace the blade to continue blending again to combine.
- When blending thicker mixtures, lightly hold down the top of the tumbler to prevent jumping.
- After blending, flip the tumbler over so that the blade assembly is on top. Gently tap the tumbler a few times to prevent any spillage. Remove the blade and replace it with the lid.
- Some recipes may require more than a minute of blending. Simply start the blender again, once the minute of continuous blending has elapsed.
- This device is equipped with an overload protection that automatically shuts down the motor in case of overheating. If all three LED lights start flashing during the process and the motor stops, this means that the overload protection has been activated. Let the unit rest until three LED lights stop flashing, around 30 seconds to 10 minutes.
- When pulsing, do not press the Power button on and off more than three times in one cycle. The fourth time, the motor will shut down, and the LED lights will flash. This will last for about one minute. After the lights stop flashing, you may press the Power On button to power up again.
- If the blade becomes locked by ingredients, it is recommended to reduce the amount of ingredients inside the cup.
- After finishing a blending cycle, it is recommended to let the unit rest for at least a minute before starting the next blending cycle to avoid overheating of unit.
