Safety Information
- Disassembling the Dartwood Solar Mole Repellent is not recommended as it may cause damage to internal components. It may not function properly after disassembly.
- Storage of the product without charge or without removing the batteries could damage it irreparably.
Feature

Product Features
- By emitting sonic waves, the Dartwood Solar Mole Repellent drives away moles effectively. Transmitting sonic waves every 17 seconds, the Solar Mole Repellent produces sound waves of approximately 400 -1000 Hz, covering an area of 15 meters.
- The Dartwood Solar Mole Repellent radiates in all directions. Avoid any obstruction and let the sonic waves be emitted freely. The sonic waves scare pests without harming them in any way, making them flee the area. This device is safe for use around pets and humans.
- To make the best use of the product, it is strongly recommended to install 2 to 3 devices for ground areas frequented by moles. It takes full effect within 2 to 4 weeks following its installation, based on local conditions.
- The Dartwood Solar Mole Repellent’s power is supplied by a solar cell. The solar panel, which is pointed towards the direction of the sun, transforms sunlight into electricity and recharges the battery. When the solar panel is fully charged, it can supply enough power during the night, ensuring a continuous operation.
Pre- Installation
- Check the ground before installing the device; frozen or waterlogged ground is not recommended.
- For the first time use, charge the mole repellent for at least 6 hours where the solar panel of the mole repellent can receive at least 6 hours of sunshine.
- Choose a location that gets plenty of sunshine to ensure that the battery gets charged thoroughly and produces the best results.
Installation

- Dig a small hole to make room for the solar repellent. DO NOT use excessive force when installing, as it might break the device.
- Push the repellent (making sure the solar panel is facing upwards) into the soil and leave about 2-4 inches out of the ground to avoid the whole unit from being immersed in heavy rain.
- A hammer can be used for this purpose, but to do that, insert a piece of wood between the upper part of the repellent and the hammer. In case the soil is hard, drill a hole first with a chisel or a piece of wo, od or a similar item before attempting to push the spike into the ground.
- Push the “On/Off” switch to the On position. After this action, you may hear a buzzing sound for a few seconds. The buzzing sound will disappear afterwards, and the repellent will start emitting sonic waves.
- Make sure to keep the power on when charging.
- Since the range of this repellent is only 15 meters, you will need to use several of the same units to cover an area that is larger than 15 meters.
Maintenance
BEFORE EACH USE
Inspect the general condition of the Dartwood Solar Mole Repellent and check for:
- Loose hardware.
- Cracked or broken parts.
- Any other condition that may affect its safe operation.
AFTER USE
Inspect the general condition of the Dartwood Solar Mole Repellent and check for:
- Clean external surfaces of the appliance with a clean and damp cloth.
- Clean the solar cell cover periodically with a damp cloth to ensure maximum sun exposure.
- Do not use solvents for cleaning, and ensure not to apply excessive pressure on the panel during the cleaning process.
Troubleshooting
Q: How do I prevent water from entering my repellent?
A: The repellent is weather and weather-and water-proof. Keep it at least 2 to 4 inches above the ground to prevent it from being immersed in heavy rain.
Q: Will the Dartwood Solar Mole Repellent work?
A: Moles are extremely sensitive to sound and vibrations. The repellents are designed to repel underground moles by emitting a penetrating sound that is irritating to moles and rodents. This will prompt them to vacate the area, and the solar-operated vibrations continue to discourage return visits.
Q: How many should I use in the garden?
A: To make the best use of the product, it is strongly recommended to install 2 to 3 devices for ground areas frequented by moles. This recommendation is highly dependent on the size of the area. One solar repellent covers 15 square meters of area, as mentioned above, so depending on the area of the garden, please decide accordingly.

Dartwood Solar Mole Repellent- FAQs
How do I use a solar mole repellent?
Place the repeller stakes in your yard or garden, ideally in areas where mole activity is visible. Ensure the solar panel is exposed to sunlight to charge the device. The stakes emit low-frequency pulses that drive moles away.
Does a solar mole repellent actually work?
Yes. Ultrasonic solar mole repellents are safe, environmentally friendly, and can effectively reduce mole, gopher, and vole activity over time.
How long does it take to see results?
Moles usually start moving away within hours after the first application. Most lawns will notice a reduction in mole activity within 12–24 hours.
How often should I use or move the repellent?
Check and reposition stakes every 30–45 days for maximum coverage, especially during peak mole seasons in spring and fall.
Where should I place the mole repellent stakes?
Place stakes in the root zone of your yard, where moles burrow and feed. Make sure the soil is firm, and water the area lightly so the ultrasonic vibrations penetrate the soil.
How long do the solar repellers last?
After 4 hours of sunlight, a fully charged repeller can work for up to 4 days. Regular exposure to sunlight keeps them active.
What do moles dislike the most?
Moles avoid loud noises, certain plants like daffodils and marigolds, and the low-frequency vibrations emitted by solar mole repellers.
Can I use it alongside other mole control methods?
Yes. For severe infestations, combine solar repellents with humane traps, soil barriers, or natural deterrents like plants to maximize effectiveness.
When are moles most active?
Moles are most active during spring and fall, when insects and soil invertebrates are plentiful.
