Delta Children Richmond 6-in-1 Convertible Baby Crib-FAQs
What is a convertible baby crib?
A convertible baby crib is designed to grow with your child. It can transform from a standard crib into a toddler bed, daybed, sofa, and even a full-size bed—making it a long-term investment for your nursery.
What are the six modes of the Delta Children Richmond 6-in-1 Crib?
This crib converts into a crib, toddler bed, daybed, sofa, full-size bed with headboard only, and full-size bed with headboard and footboard. (Toddler guardrail and full-size bed rails are sold separately.)
How do I convert the crib into a toddler bed?
To convert it, remove one crib side, lower the mattress, and attach the toddler guardrail using the provided brackets. Make sure all screws are securely tightened before use.
How long can my child use this convertible crib?
The crib can be used from birth to about 2 years, then converted to a toddler bed until around age 5–7, and finally into a full-size bed that can last through the teenage years.
What is the difference between a crib and a convertible crib?
A standard crib is used only for infancy, while a convertible crib like the Richmond 6-in-1 can transition through multiple stages of your child’s growth, offering greater value and longevity.
Is the Delta 6-in-1 crib easy to assemble?
It fits any standard full-size crib mattress that meets U.S. safety standards (measuring approximately 52″ L x 28″ W).
Is Delta Children furniture safe?
Yes. All Delta Children products meet or exceed JPMA and ASTM safety standards, ensuring the highest level of safety for your baby.
How do I help my baby adjust to sleeping in the crib?
Place your baby in the crib drowsy but awake so they learn to fall asleep independently. Keep a consistent bedtime routine for comfort and familiarity.
When should I transition my child from the crib to a bed?
Most children transition between 18 months and 3 years old, depending on when they start climbing out of the crib or show interest in a “big kid” bed.
Can I use the crib for a newborn?
Yes. The Delta Richmond 6-in-1 is safe for newborns when used with a firm mattress and without pillows, blankets, or toys inside the crib.
