WARNING
- Be sure to carefully read and understand the instructions before attempting to install these speakers.
- For safety, disconnect the negative battery terminal from the battery before beginning the installation.
- For easier assembly, we suggest you have all your tools handy: Drill, Allen set, Crimps, Soldering iron, wire strippers, heat-shrink, etc.
- Use high-quality “Waterproof” connectors for a reliable installation and to minimize signal or power loss.
- Think before your drill! Be careful not to cut or drill into gas tanks, fuel lines, brake or hydraulic lines, vacuum lines, or electrical wiring when working on any vehicle. If installing in a boat, take care not to cut or drill through the main hull.
- Never run wires near fuel lines or power (if possible). Running the wires inside the hull area provides the best protection.
- Avoid running wires over or through sharp edges. Use rubber or plastic Grommets to protect any wires routed through metal, especially the tower.
- Ensure that the mounting clamps are securely tightened before leaving the dock.
- Decide early what type of LED lighting you want (if any) and wire accordingly.
(Note: if you want *dancing lights*, look for the WiFi or RF remote-controlled LED light box. The easy way to have lighting... YOUR way!)

DS18 JSD8 Hydro NXL-8BK Double Jet Ski Rear Sound Bar- FAQs
Q1: What tools do I need for installation?
You will typically need standard hand tools: screwdrivers, a wrench set, a drill with assorted bits, wire cutters/strippers, and marine-grade silicone sealant for waterproofing.
Q2: How do I securely mount the sound bar to my jet ski?
Position the sound bar on the rear grab handle or a flat surface. Use the provided stainless steel hardware. For drilling, ensure all holes are properly sealed with marine silicone to prevent water intrusion and corrosion.
Q3: How do I wire the sound bar to my battery?
Connect the RED wire to the positive (+) terminal of your battery and the BLACK wire to the negative (-) terminal. Always install an inline fuse on the positive wire within 18 inches of the battery terminal for safety.
Q4: How do I pair my phone with the built-in Bluetooth?
Power on the unit. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and select “DS18 HYDRO NXL-8BK” from the list of available devices. No PIN is typically required.
Q5: The unit won’t power on. What should I check?
Verify all wiring connections are secure and corrosion-free.
Check that the inline fuse on the positive power wire is not blown.
Confirm your battery has a sufficient charge.
Q6: How do I protect the sound bar from water damage?
While marine-grade, ensure the drainage holes on the bottom of the enclosure are always clear and unobstructed. Never submerge the unit. Apply marine sealant to all mounting holes and wire entry points.
Q7: What should I do if the sound is distorted?
Distortion is often caused by a low battery or a poor power connection. Check your battery voltage and ensure all wiring connections are tight and free of corrosion. Also, avoid maxing out the volume on both your phone and the unit.
Q8: How should I clean and maintain the sound bar?
Rinse with fresh, clean water after each use in saltwater or muddy conditions. Use a mild soap and a soft cloth. Do not use high-pressure spray directly on the speakers or seams.
