Anti-Tip Bracket Installation Instructions

Important Safety Warning

To reduce the risk of tipping of the range, the range should be secured to the floor by a properly installed anti-tip bracket and screws packed with the range. Failure to install the anti-tip bracket will allow the range to tip over if excessive weight is placed on an open door or if a child climbs upon it. Serious injury might result from spilled hot liquids or from the range itself. If the range is ever moved to a different location, the anti-tip brackets must also be moved and installed with the range. Instructions are provided for installation in wood or cement, fastened to either the floor or wall. When installed on the wall, make sure that the screws completely penetrate the drywall and are secured in wood or metal. When fastening to the floor or wall, be sure that screws do not penetrate electrical wiring or plumbing.

  • Locate the Bracket Using the Template – (Bracket may be located on either the left or right side of the range. Use the information below to locate the bracket if the template is not available.) Mark the floor or wall where the left or right side of the range will be located. If the rear of the range is against the wall or no further than 1-1/4″ (32 mm) from the wall when installed, you may use the wall or floor mount method. If molding is installed and does not allow the bracket to fit flush against the wall, remove the molding or mount the bracket to the floor. For wall mount, locate the bracket by placing the back edge of the template against the rear wall and the side edge of the template on the mark made referencing the side of the range. Place a bracket on top of the template and mark the location of the screw holes in the wall. If the rear of the range is further than 1-1/4″ (32 mm) from the wall when installed, attach the bracket to the floor. For floor mount, locate the bracket by placing the back edge of the template where the rear of the range will be located. Mark the location of the screw holes, shown in the template.
  • Drill Pilot Holes and Fasten Bracket – Drill a 1/8” (3 mm) pilot hole where screws are to be located. If the bracket is to be mounted to the wall, drill a pilot hole at an approximate 20° downward angle. If the bracket is to be mounted to masonry or ceramic floors, drill a 5/32” (4 mm) pilot hole 1-3/4” (44 mm) deep. The screws provided may be used in wood or concrete material. Use a 5/16” (8 mm) nutdriver or flat head screwdriver to secure the bracket in place.Frigidaire 30-inches Front Control Induction Range-3
  • Level and Position Range – Level range by adjusting the (4) leveling legs with a wrench. Note: A minimum clearance of 1/8” (3 mm) is required between the bottom of the range and the leveling leg to allow room for the bracket. Use a spirit level to check your adjustments. Slide the range back into position. Visually check that the rear leveling leg is inserted into and fully secured by the Anti-Tip Bracket by removing the lower panel or storage drawer. For models with a warmer drawer or broiler compartment, grasp the top rear edge of the range and carefully attempt to tilt it forward.Frigidaire 30-inches Front Control Induction Range-4

Note: Installation of the filler trim kit is not required.

WARNING: Disconnect electrical power to the range before beginning installation. Before servicing any part of the appliance, make sure the appliance is off and the surfaces are cool. Attempting to service the appliance while hot may cause burns or other injury.

Filler Trim Attachment Instructions:

  1. Remove the 7 screws on the vent trim on the back.
  2. Place the filler trim over the back by lining up the 7 screw holes of the filler trim with the vent trim and tighten the screws.
  3. When filler trim is secured, it will be flush with the top of the range.

Door Handle Mounting Instructions (some models)

  1. Remove handles from carton and any other protective packaging.
  2. Position handle end caps over left and right preinstalled shoulder bolts (A) that are fastened to the door, ensuring the holes for the set screws are facing down.
  3. While holding the handle firmly against the door, loosely tighten the right Allen set screw (B) with the supplied Allen wrench until there is no gap between the handle and door.
  4. Still holding the handle firmly to the door, firmly tighten the left Allen set screw (B) with the supplied Allen wrench.
  5. Return to the right Allen set screw (B) and firmly tighten with the supplied Allen wrench.

NOTE

All set screws should be tightened so that the screw is below the surface of the handle. The handle should be drawn tight to the door with no gaps. The door handle may loosen over time or if it was installed improperly. If this happens, tighten the set screws on the handles.Frigidaire 30-inches Front Control Induction Range-6

Frigidaire 30-inches Front Control Induction Range-FAQs

What electrical requirements are needed to install an induction range?

An induction range needs a dedicated 240V outlet supported by a 40–50 amp breaker. If you are upgrading from a gas stove, you may also need new wiring, a suitable outlet, and to safely cap the existing gas line.

Do I need a professional electrician for installation?

Yes, it is strongly recommended. A licensed electrician can ensure correct wiring, proper grounding, and correct breaker size, especially if your electrical panel needs upgrading.

What are the electrical specifications for the Frigidaire GCFI306CBF model?

The GCFI306CBF requires a 40-amp minimum circuit, 240V supply, and includes adjustable leveling legs for proper installation alignment.

Will a 30-inch Frigidaire range fit in a standard 30-inch cutout?

Yes. A 30-inch range typically fits a 30-inch cutout, though the appliance itself may measure slightly less (e.g., 29⅞”). Always verify the model’s specification sheet before installation.

What clearance is needed between the induction cooktop and the oven below?

A minimum 2.5 cm (1 inch) gap is recommended for proper ventilation and airflow.

How much side and rear clearance is required for safe use?

Provide at least 50 mm clearance from adjacent walls. When installing next to tall cabinetry, a 300 mm clearance is recommended for safety and usability.

Do induction cooktops require special wiring?

Yes. Most full-size induction ranges must be hardwired into a dedicated high-capacity circuit rather than plugged into a standard wall socket.

Can I install an induction range using a normal plug?

No. Standard household outlets cannot handle the high power requirements of induction cooking. The unit must be hardwired or connected to a heavy-duty 240V outlet.

How much space is required above an induction cooktop for ventilation?

Allow ample overhead clearance as recommended by local building codes and the range hood manufacturer. For most installations, 24–30 inches above the cooktop is common.
