SETTINGS BEFORE USING

Battery

Before using the rangefinder, please install the battery. The GS24 rangefinder uses 2 regular AAA batteries.

Focus adjustment

If the view is not clear, please try to twist the eyepiece to adjust the focus of the rangefinder.

Unit of measurement

Power the rangefinder up and stay in mode 1/2. Long press the “M” button to change the unit of measurement. Please note that you are not able to change the unit of measurement in mode 3.

HOW TO OPERATE

In mode 1

Mode one is used to getting fast distance readings instantly. To use mode 1, press the “M” button until there is an “M1″ icon at the left of the screen. After that, hold the power button and aim at your targets.

In mode 2

Mode 2 is often used for golf. In this mode, the flag-lock function is activated, and the rangefinder will scan an area and return the shortest distance measured. This feature is commonly used for measuring golf flags. Please note that the flag-lock function supports the max range at 250y.

Besides, you will get two distance readings in this mode, the linear distance and the slope compensated distance. The slope-compensated distance is calculated according to the angle data, which is also provided in this mode.

To use mode 2, press the “M” button until there is an “M2″ icon at the left of the screen. After that, aim at one target at a time, press the power button and it will give a linear distance and a slope compensated distance. If you want to lock a flag or a slender object, switch to mode 2, aim around the object and hold the power button. Once you succeed in locking the object, there will be a circle around the flag icon.

You can turn the slope function off if you purchased the TL (tournament legal) version or the MTL (Magnetic Tournament Legal) version.

In mode 3

Mode 3 is also called speed mode. You can measure the speed of an object that is moving toward you or away from you. To use this mode, press the “M” button until there is an “M3″ Icon at the left of the screen. After that, hold the power button and aim at the target.
