Miroco MI-MF002 Electric Milk Steamer and Frother-FAQs

Does the Miroco milk frother heat milk as well as froth it?

Yes, it both heats and froths milk, producing thick foam ideal for lattes, cappuccinos, and other coffee drinks.

Should I use cold or hot milk for frothing?

Cold milk froths better initially, as it absorbs air more effectively. Once slightly warm, adjust the frother to create a smooth, rolling motion for fine foam.

Can I froth milk without heating it?

Yes, you can froth cold milk without heating. Use a manual method like shaking in a jar or whisking for best results—just be patient as it takes a little longer.

What’s the difference between a milk steamer and a milk frother?

A milk steamer heats milk, often using steam wands, while a milk frother creates thick foam. Frothers are generally better for achieving creamy, consistent foam.

Can I use the Miroco frother for matcha?

Yes, the frother can mix matcha powder with water or milk, though it may not be as precise as a traditional bamboo whisk.

How can I avoid making a mess while frothing?

Make sure the frother’s whisk is fully submerged in the milk. Shallow placement can cause splashing. Proper positioning helps form foam quickly and cleanly.

What’s the ideal temperature for steamed milk?

Steamed milk should reach around 150°F (65–70°C). Avoid overheating, as milk can scald and lose its texture.

Can the frother heat water too?

Yes, the Miroco frother can heat liquids like water to approximately 150°F (±10°F), which is suitable for tea or other warm beverages.
