ATTENTION
For the best performance of your new pullout faucet, Moen recommends the following:
- Maintain 8″ x 8″ (20 cm x 20 cm) clear area for the hose and weight to travel, free of any movable items, including bottles, cleaning supplies, etc. See illustration.
- Periodically check to be sure no obstructions have entered this clear zone, and the hose weight slides freely.

- Attach flexible supply lines to shut-off valves.
- Tighten with a wrench.

- Attach the Product Identification Label (C) in a conspicuous location, such as on an inlet supply line. Turn the water supply line valves on and check for leaks.

- Pull the lever away from the faucet to turn it on the faucet.
- Move the handle towards you and away from you for 15 seconds. Turn the handle off to stop the water flow.

- Discard protective cap from Spray Wand (I).
- Ensure that the Screen and O-ring (H) are in the inlet of the Spray Wand (I).
- Thread Spray Wand (I) onto Pulldown Hose (K) assembly.

- Using pliers, make a 1/8 turn. Do not overtighten.

- Remove the installation clip if the faucet’s wand contains this clip. Note: Only specific models require the removal of this clip. Otherwise, this step can be ignored. Save the clip for easier disassembly in the future.

Moen 87912SRS Arc Pulldown Kitchen Faucet-FAQs
How does a Moen kitchen faucet work?
A Moen faucet controls water flow through an internal cartridge. Turning the handle opens the cartridge, allowing hot and cold water to mix and flow through the spout.
What is a pull-down kitchen faucet?
A pull-down faucet has a spray wand built into the spout that pulls straight down into the sink. When released, the hose retracts smoothly back into place.
How does the Moen 87912SRS pull-down spray head work?
The spray head is attached to a flexible hose, giving you easy control to rinse dishes, clean the sink, or fill large pots. It switches between stream and spray modes with a button.
How do I turn on the Moen Arc pulldown faucet?
Simply lift or rotate the handle to start the water flow. Moving the handle left or right adjusts the water temperature.
Why won’t my faucet switch between spray and stream modes?
This is usually caused by a worn or clogged diverter. Mineral buildup or debris can prevent smooth switching between spray functions.
What are the disadvantages of pull-down kitchen faucets?
Pull-down faucets may cause splashing in shallow sinks, and their tall design may not fit well under low cabinets.
How do I remove the spray head on a Moen pull-down faucet?
Unscrew the spray head by turning it counterclockwise. This allows you to clean, replace, or inspect the head easily.
Why won’t the spray hose retract properly?
A retraction issue is often caused by tangled hoses or an incorrectly positioned counterweight under the sink.
What are common problems with Moen kitchen faucets?
Typical issues include dripping, low water pressure, temperature control problems, or spray mode failure—often linked to a worn cartridge or clogged aerator.
How do I tighten a loose Moen faucet handle?
Locate the set screw under or behind the handle, tighten it with an Allen key, and ensure the handle is securely attached.
