IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and/or injury to persons, including the following:
- Read all instructions before using this product.
- To protect against electric shock, do not place or immerse the cord, plugs, or appliance in water or other liquid.
- This appliance is not intended for use by children or by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or a lack of experience and knowledge. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
- Never leave the appliance unattended when in use.
- Unplug from the outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. To disconnect, turn any control to OFF, then unplug the power cord from the outlet. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.
- Avoid contacting moving parts.
- Flashing light indicates ready to operate. Avoid any contact with blades or movable parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Do not attempt to replace or splice a damaged cord. Return appliance to the manufacturer (see warranty) for examination, repair, or adjustment.
- This appliance has important markings on the plug blade. The attachment plug is not suitable for replacement. If damaged, the appliance shall be replaced.
- The use of attachments, including canning jars, not recommended or sold by the manufacturer, may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
- Do not use outdoors or for commercial purposes.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter, or touch hot surfaces, including the stove.
- Keep hands and utensils out of the container while blending to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the blender. A scraper may be used, but it must be used only when the blender is not running.
- Blades are sharp. Handle carefully, especially when removing the blades from the container, emptying the container, and during cleaning.
- To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutter-assembly blades on the base without the jar properly attached.
- Always hold the container while operating the appliance. If the container should turn when the motor is turned ON, switch the appliance OFF immediately and tighten the container in the threaded bottom.
- Always operate the blender with the cover in place. Always wait until all moving parts have stopped before removing any lid or cover.
- When blending hot liquids, remove the center piece of the two-piece cover. Beware of steam. Do not blend boiling liquids.
- Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use. Misuse can cause injuries. Always use the appliance on a dry, stable, level surface. Never fill beyond the MAX fill line.
For containers with no lids or vents (when inserted in the blender), such as personal Blend and Go containers:
- Do not blend carbonated, hot, or boiling liquids and ingredients, as this may create pressure buildup. Only blend non-carbonated liquids and ingredients that are at room temperature or cooler. If the container is warm to the touch, allow it to cool before opening.
- Do not use the blender for longer than 1 minute at a time to avoid heat and pressure buildup. Allow to cool for 1 minute between cycles.
For appliances with food processor or food chopper attachments:
- Keep hands and utensils away from moving blades or discs while processing or chopping food to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the food processor or chopper. A scraper may be used, but it must be used only when the food processor or chopper is not running.
- To reduce the risk of injury, never place a cutting blade or discs on the base without first putting the container properly in place.
- Be certain the cover is securely locked in place before operating the appliance.
- For food processors: Never feed food by hand. Always use a food pusher.
- Do not attempt to defeat the cover interlock mechanism.

Oster 2143024 One-Touch Blender-FAQs
How long do Oster blenders usually last?
Oster blenders are known for durability and long service life. Many models feature an all-metal drive system that is life-tested to handle up to 10,000 blending cycles. With regular cleaning and proper use, an Oster blender can easily last 8–10 years or more, especially for everyday household tasks like smoothies, soups, and sauces.
Is the Oster 2143024 One-Touch Blender good for home use?
Yes, the Oster 2143024 One-Touch Blender is a solid choice for home kitchens. It’s designed for daily blending needs such as smoothies, shakes, frozen drinks, and light food prep. The one-touch controls make it beginner-friendly, while the sturdy glass jar and powerful motor ensure consistent performance for most household recipes.
What makes the Oster One-Touch Blender different from other blenders?
The Oster One-Touch Blender stands out for its simple control panel, durable glass jar, and metal-to-metal coupling system. Unlike many plastic-gear blenders, Oster uses metal components that reduce wear over time. This design improves longevity and makes the blender reliable for crushing ice and blending tougher ingredients.
Is the Oster 2143024 One-Touch Blender worth buying?
If you want a durable, easy-to-use, and affordable blender, the Oster 2143024 One-Touch Blender is a good option. It’s well-suited for everyday home use, offers strong build quality with metal components, and delivers reliable blending performance without unnecessary complexity.
How do I know if my Oster blender is going bad?
Common signs include reduced blending performance, unusual motor sounds, leaking from the base, or worn blade coupling. If the blender struggles with soft ingredients or stops suddenly, it may need maintenance. Regular inspection of blades, jar coupling, and motor sound can help identify issues early.
Is the Oster One-Touch Blender noisy?
Like most powerful countertop blenders, the Oster One-Touch Blender produces noticeable noise during operation, especially when crushing ice or frozen ingredients. However, the noise level is typical for its class and power range. It’s not unusually loud compared to similar glass-jar blenders in the market.
How powerful is the Oster One-Touch Blender?
This model is built with a motor powerful enough for everyday blending tasks such as smoothies, sauces, and frozen drinks. While it may not compete with high-end professional blenders, it offers reliable power for home use. It’s ideal for users who want consistent results without investing in a premium blender.
Can the Oster 2143024 blender crush ice?
The Oster 2143024 One-Touch Blender can crush ice for drinks like smoothies and frozen beverages. Its sturdy blades and solid drive system handle ice better than many entry-level blenders. For best results, add some liquid with the ice and use short blending pulses to reduce strain on the motor.
