- 1)The battery clamp may be connected in reverse. If so, you need to disconnect the battery clamp from the vehicle and the jump starter.
- 2)Adjust the clamps for maximum contact with the battery terminals.
- 3)The voltage of your car battery is higher than 17.5V.
- 4)If has been connected over the 30s, you should disconnect the battery clamp and jump starter asap, and then follow the Step 1-2.
Step 3-a: Start your car

How to read the indicator light of the battery clamp?
Indicator Light & Buzzer | Meaning |
The red and green indicator lights flash alternately. | The battery clamps are correctly connected to the jump starter and car battery, ready to start. |
The red indicator light stays on and the buzzer alarm. | 1)Battery clamp is reversely connected, or short-circuited. 2)The voltage of your car battery is higher than 17.5V. |
The green indicator light stays on after pressing the force start button. | The current is running through the battery clamp. Ready to start your car? |
The red indicator light flashes quickly and the buzzer beeps. | 1) The over-temperature protection is triggered because the temperature of the clamp exceeds 65 (+/-5) ℃. The output would be automatically shut off. The red indicator light would flash quickly (5 times per sec). 2) After the car is started, the engine enters a stable working state. Please remove the clamp from the car battery as soon as possible. |
The green light flashes slowly. | The voltage of the product is too low. You need to charge the product in time. |
- NOTE: When the green light on (in the start state), DO NOT take off the clamp to short-circuit them or reverse the positive and negative poles of the clamp to
the car battery

Vekkia THOR 1000 Jump Starter and Portable Power Source-FAQs
Can a portable jump starter charge a car battery?
A jump starter provides a temporary power boost to start the engine but is not designed for long-term charging. For routine battery maintenance, use a dedicated battery charger.
How do I know when my jump starter is fully charged?
Plug the charger into a power outlet and wait for the indicator lights to signal a full charge. This process may take several hours.
How does a jump starter work?
It transfers power directly from its battery to the vehicle’s dead battery, allowing the engine to start. Once running, the car’s alternator will recharge the battery.
How long should I leave the jump starter connected?
Follow the 6-second cranking, 3-minute rest rule to prevent overheating.
Can a portable jump starter revive a completely dead battery?
If the battery cannot hold any charge at all, a jump starter may not work. However, if it’s just drained, a jump starter should be effective.
How do I reset my jump starter?
If there is no reset button, perform a power cycle: turn off the device, unplug it for a few minutes, then reconnect and power it back on.
How long does a jump starter last?
Most jump starters last 2-3 years, but models with supercapacitor technology can last up to 10 years with frequent use.
What is the minimum voltage needed to start a car?
Most modern cars require at least 12 volts to start properly.
