Safety
Please carefully read this user manual in its entirety before using the blender. Keep this user manual in a safe place. If you give the blender away, be sure that you include this manual with it. Keep this user manual in a safe place. If you transfer the blender to a third party, ensure that you include the operating instructions in such a transfer.
Failure to comply with these operating instructions can lead to serious injury or damage to the appliance. Zwilling does not accept any liability for damage caused by a failure to comply with these operating instructions.
Important information for your safety is specifically marked. Please be sure to observe these instructions in order to avoid accidents and damage to the appliance.
Safety information
The blender (hereinafter referred to as “the appliance”) is exclusively intended for crushing and mixing ingredients for beverages, blended foods (dips, sauces, pesto), and a small quantity of ice cubes. It may only be used with the accessories supplied or approved by Zwilling.
Any other use is considered improper and may result in personal injury or property damage.
Do not put any hot liquids, fats, oils, or objects in the appliance. The appliance is intended for domestic use. It is not intended for commercial use.
Use the appliance with caution:
The appliance may be used by children aged 8 and above, by people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacity, and by people with a lack of experience and knowledge, providing such children and individuals are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the appliance safely and they understand all of the possible hazards that could result from using the appliance.
Children are not allowed to play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision. Keep the appliance and its power cord in a location that is not accessible to children under
8 years old.
Keep children away from the packaging material. It poses a suffocation risk. The appliance is operated with an electric current.
There is therefore a danger of electric shock:
Only plug the appliance into a correctly installed socket. Only operate the appliance if the voltage stated on the rating plate matches the voltage of your socket. Make sure that the power cord is not kinked or pinched, and make sure that the power cord and the appliance do not come in contact with heat sources (e.g., stovetops, gas flames.)
When unplugging the power plug from the socket, always unplug the power plug directly. Do not carry the appliance by the power cord. Never touch the power plug with wet hands.
Do not insert any objects into the openings on the appliance. As long as the power plug is plugged in, there is a voltage inside the appliance, even if the appliance is switched off.
After every use and in the event of danger or a defect, unplug the power plug from the socket immediately. For this reason, keep the socket into which the appliance is plugged easily accessible at all times.
Unplug the appliance from the socket prior to cleaning or maintenance. Never unscrew the appliance, and do not make any technical
modifications.
The sharp and rotating blade poses a serious risk of injury:
In the absence of supervision, disconnect the power plug prior to assembly, disassembly, and cleaning. Be very careful when filling, emptying, and cleaning the blender cup, and do not reach your fingers between the blades.
Never lick the blades with your tongue to taste the food.
Poor hygiene is a health hazard:
Do not leave any food in the blender cup if you are not using the appliance. Thoroughly clean the appliance and all accessories prior to first use and immediately after every use.
A faulty appliance can cause damage and injuries:
Check the appliance for damage prior to each use. If you detect any transport damage, immediately contact the dealer from whom you purchased the appliance. Never operate an appliance or its accessories that have been dropped. The appliance needs to be repaired in the event of a fault or a damaged power cord. The appliance does not contain any parts that you are able to repair yourself.
Damage may occur if the appliance is handled incorrectly. Place the appliance on a dry, level, and non-slip surface. Do not place the appliance on a hot surface or in the vicinity of powerful sources of heat. Do not let the power cord dangle down.
When preparing food and drinks, liquid may splash or spill out and cause injury or property damage:
Always place the blender cup. on a level, non-slip surface. Never overfill the blender cup. Never use the blender cup to heat up food or drink in the microwave.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:
- Read all instructions.
- To protect against the risk of electrical shock, do not put the blender base or power cord in water or other liquids.
- This appliance is not intended for use by people (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Turn the appliance OFF, then unplug it from the outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts, and before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull it out from the outlet.
- Avoid contact with moving parts.
- Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, after the appliance malfunctions, or after the appliance is damaged in any manner. Contact the manufacturer’s customer service department to schedule an inspection, repairs, or an adjustment.
- The use of attachments, including canning jars, not recommended by the manufacturer, may pose a risk of injury to people.
- Do not use outdoors.
- Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter.
- The blade assembly is sharp, is not locked into place, and is removable.
- Handle with care. When handling the blade assembly, always hold it by the shaft.
- Always operate the blender with the blade assembly in place. To avoid a risk of injury, carefully remove the blade assembly before pouring from the blender cup.
- Do not blend hot liquids in the 550ml cup.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
For a polarized plug:
This appliance has a polarized plug (one prong is wider than the other one). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way. If using a symbol such as “I O” to represent ON and OFF, this must be clearly explained in the user manual.

Use
Using the blender
Before using, you must turn the selector switch to the on/off position and completely unwind the power cord.
Filling with ingredients
To fill with ingredients, place the blender cup on a flat surface and twist off the blender cup. A measuring scale for the filling quantity is attached to the blender bowl.
Do not fill with any hot liquids or ingredients.
Observe the maximum mark. Do not overfill.
Putting the blender bowl on the base
To attach the blender cup, first screw the lid onto the cup, screw the lid onto the cup, turn the cup over, then place it on the base by gently pressing it down.
Tightly screw the blender lid on before turning the cup upside down.
The appliance has outlets. Should liquid run into the appliance, soak up the liquid, and clean the blender base before further use.
Preparing a smoothie using the automatic program
To prepare a smoothie, turn the selector switch to the right until it clicks into place. The smoothie is ready when the program symbol continuously lights up. To prematurely stop the automatic program or when the program is finished, turn the selector switch back to the on/off position.
Using the multi-function (pulse) program
To prepare any kind of mixed beverages and blended drinks, you need to turn the selector switch to the left and hold it in position until the desired consistency of the product is reached. The mixing process stops if you let go of the selector switch.
Taking a mixed drink with you
If you do not wish to immediately consume the beverage, but wish to take it with you, you can seal the blender cup with the drinking cup lid. This allows you to take the drink with you.
Maintenance
Cleaning the blender cup and the drinking cup lid
You can clean the blender cup and the drinking cup lid with dish soap in the sink or in the dishwasher.
Cleaning the blender lid
You can clean the blender lid under running water and with a damp, lint-free cloth.
Carefully clean the blades. Do not reach your fingers into them.
Cleaning the blender base
You can clean the blender base with a damp, lint-free cloth.
Prior to cleaning, unplug the power plug.
