Please carefully read this user manual in its entirety before using the blender. Keep this user manual in a safe place. If you give the blender away, be sure that you include this manual with it.

Failure to comply with these operating instructions can lead to serious injury or damage to the appliance. Zwilling does not accept any liability for damage caused by a failure to comply with these operating instructions.

Important information for your safety is specifically marked. Please be sure to observe these instructions in order to avoid accidents and damage to the appliance.

Safety information

The blender (hereinafter referred to as the “appliance”) is intended exclusively for crushing ice cubes and mixing ingredients for beverages and blended foods (like dips, soups, sauces, pesto, and ice cream) and ice cubes. It may only be used with the accessories supplied or approved by Zwilling.

Any other use is considered improper and may result in personal injury or property damage.

Do not put any hot fats, oils, or objects in the appliance. The appliance is intended for domestic use. It is not intended for commercial use.

Certain people should use with caution:

The appliance may be used by children age 8 and above, by people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capacity, and by people with a lack of experience and knowledge, providing such children and individuals are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the appliance safely and they understand all of the possible hazards that could result from using the appliance.

Children are not allowed to play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by children without supervision.

Keep the appliance and its power cord in a location that is not accessible to children under 8 years old. Keep children away from the packaging material. It poses a suffocation risk.

The appliance is operated with an electric current. There is therefore a danger of electric shock:

Only plug the appliance into a correctly installed socket. Only operate the appliance if the voltage stated on the rating plate matches the voltage of your socket.

Make sure that the power cord is not kinked or pinched, and make sure that the power cord and the appliance do
not come in contact with heat sources (e.g., stovetops, gas flames). When unplugging the power plug from the socket, always unplug the power plug directly. Do not carry the appliance by the power cord.

Never touch the power plug with wet hands. Do not insert any objects into the openings on the appliance. As long as the power plug is plugged in, there is a voltage inside the appliance, even if the appliance is switched off.

After every use and in the event of danger or a defect, unplug the power plug from the socket immediately. For this reason, keep the socket into which the appliance is plugged easily accessible at all times.

Unplug the appliance from the socket prior to cleaning or maintenance. Never unscrew the appliance and do not make any technical modifications.

The sharp and rotating blade poses a serious risk of injury:

In the absence of supervision, disconnect the power plug prior to assembly, disassembly, and cleaning. Be very careful when filling, emptying, and cleaning the blender jar, and do not put your fingers between the blades.

Poor hygiene is a health hazard:

Do not leave any food in the blender jar if you are not using the appliance. Thoroughly clean the appliance and all accessories prior to first use and immediately after every use.

A faulty appliance can cause damage and injuries:

Check the appliance for damage prior to each use. If you detect any transport damage, immediately contact the dealer from whom you purchased the appliance.

Never use a faulty appliance or faulty accessories. Never operate an appliance or its accessories that have been dropped. The appliance needs to be repaired in the event of a faulty or damaged power cord. The appliance does not contain any parts that you are able to repair yourself.

Damage may occur if the appliance is handled incorrectly. Place the appliance on a dry, level, and non-slip surface. Do not place the appliance on a hot surface or in the vicinity of powerful heat sources. Do not let the power cord dangle.

When preparing food and drinks, liquid may splash or spill out and cause injury or property damage:

Always place the blender jar on a level, non-slip surface. Never overfill the blender jar. Never open the lid or its stopper during operation. Never use the blender jar to heat up food or drink in the microwave.

IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  • Read all instructions.
  • To protect against the risk of electrical shock, do not put the blender base or power cord in water or other liquids.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they are closely supervised and instructed concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Turn the appliance OFF, then unplug from the outlet when not in use, before assembling or disassembling parts, and before cleaning. To unplug, grasp the plug and pull from the outlet. Never pull from the power cord.
  • Avoid contacting moving parts.
  • Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Contact the manufacturer at their customer service telephone number for information on examination, repair, or adjustment.
  • The use of attachments, including canning jars, not recommended by the manufacturer, may pose a risk of injury to persons.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter.
  • When blending hot liquids, remove the stopper in the lid (i.e., the measuring cup.)
  • Keep hands and utensils, other than the tamper provided, out of the container while blending to reduce the risk of severe injury to persons or damage to the blender.
  • The lid must remain in place when blending. Only use the tamper through the lid opening.
  • Only use a scraper when the blender is not running. When matching with the optional sport bottle attachment, be reminded:
  • The blade assembly is sharp, is not locked in place, and is removable.
  • Handle with care. When handling blade assembly, always hold it by the shaft.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

For the polarized plug:

This appliance has a polarized plug (one prong is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.
