IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, these instructions and warnings should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and injury to persons:
This Fan is an outdoor product and is NOT intended for indoor use. Do not leave the Fan unattended when it is plugged in.
DO NOT use this Fan to ventilate areas where flammable liquids or vapors are used, stored, or are present, including paints, gasoline, vanishes, floor refinishing products, or solvents. ALWAYS read and follow all warnings and instructions on the containers for these products!
ALWAYS be sure the plug fits tightly into the outlet. When plugs fit loosely into outlets, they may slip partially out of the outlet and create a poor connection. This may cause outlets to overheat and create a potential fire hazard. Outlets in this condition should be replaced by a qualified electrician.
ALWAYS unplug the power cord when servicing, cleaning, or moving the Fan. DO NOT use the ON/OFF switch as the sole means of disconnecting power. NEVER leave children unattended when the Fan is on or plugged in.
ALWAYS turn off and unplug the Fan when not in use.- BE CERTAIN that the power source for the Fan is 120V AC. DO NOT plug the Fan into 240V or any other power source.
The Blue Plug™™ on your Lasko Fan is a safety feature. It contains a non-replaceable safety device (fuse) that should not be removed or tampered with. To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury, DO NOT attempt to remove, replace, repair, or tamper with the originally supplied plug. If the Fan has stopped functioning, it may be due to the safety device incorporated in this plug.
The power cord is equipped with a three-prong, grounded GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) plug that must be inserted into a grounded receptacle. Under no circumstances must the grounding prong be cut off the plug. WARNING: Do not use a three-prong to two-prong adapter. Where a two-prong wall receptacle is encountered, it must be replaced with a properly grounded three-prong receptacle installed in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local codes and ordinances. This work must be done only by a qualified electrician, using copper wire only. The GFCI Fan cord set can be plugged into an existing GFCI outlet if present. RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. Test the GFCI plug before each use. Plug the GFCI into the power outlet. Indicator LIGHT should turn on. Press the test button. Indicator LIGHT should turn off. Press
AND RELEASE reset button. INDICATOR LIGHT SHOULD TURN ON. If the above test fails, DO NOT USE THIS GFCI Fan.- USE OF A THREE-PRONG TO TWO-PRONG ADAPTER IS NOT PERMITTED. IMPROPER CONNECTION MAY CREATE THE RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK. USE OF SUCH ADAPTERS IS NOT PERMITTED IN CANADA.
This plug is a safety feature. It contains a safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard the product if the attachment plug is damaged. To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and personal injury, DO NOT remove, replace, repair, or tamper with the originally supplied plug or GFCI. If the Fan does not function properly, it may be due to the safety device incorporated in this plug. Call 800-233-0268, Monday – Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern. If the plug warning label is missing or damaged, call the toll-free number for a replacement label.- WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons, do not use replacement parts that have not been recommended by the manufacturer (e.g., parts made at home using a 3D printer).

Operation

Cleaning and Care Guide
From time to time, depending on your water type, the misting nozzles can get clogged. If you notice this, please use the directions below to clean.
- Turn the water off at the source.
- Remove the misting assembly’s valve adapter from the garden hose or spigot and the hose adapter. Do this carefully and allow residual water pressure to drain. Cycle (turn the handle back and forth) the valve and ensure freedom of movement, and that there is no debris blocking the water’s path.
- Remove the Screen Filter from inside the Misting Assembly Valve Adapter. Inspect and ensure the Screen Filter is free of buildup or debris. If the filter is clogged, soak it in a solution of undiluted 5% acidity distilled white vinegar for at least 2 hours. For an immediate solution, replace the Filter.

- Carefully remove each Misting Nozzle from the Misting Manifold by turning it counter-clockwise using your hand or, if required, a 12mm wrench or socket (or adjustable wrench or pliers). Soak the Nozzles in a solution of undiluted 5% acidity distilled white vinegar for at least 2 hours. If more Nozzles are required, call (800) 233-0268 or order online at www.lasko.com in Parts & Accessories.
- After the appropriate amount of soak time for the parts requiring cleaning, reassemble the misting subsystem by inserting the Misting Nozzles into the Misting Manifold and turning clockwise until secure. DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN. Next, return the Screen Filter to the inside of the Misting Assembly Valve Adapter. Finally, reattach the Valve Adapter to the Hose Adapter.
6. You are now ready to continue to stay cool with your Misto™ Outdoor Living Misting Fan.

Lasko YF321 Misting Tower Fan -FAQs
What is the Lasko YF321 Misting Tower Fan?
The Lasko YF321 is a tower fan with a built-in misting feature designed to provide extra cooling in hot and dry conditions. It combines airflow with a fine water mist to help reduce the feeling of heat.
Is Lasko a fan or heater brand?
Lasko is a well-known brand that makes fans, heaters, air purifiers, and air circulators. The YF321 model is strictly a fan and does not include a heating function.
How does the misting feature work?
The fan releases a light water mist that mixes with the airflow. As the mist evaporates, it helps cool the surrounding air, making it feel more refreshing than a regular fan.
Can the Lasko YF321 cool a room like an air conditioner?
No, it does not lower room temperature like an AC. However, it improves comfort by circulating air and adding moisture, which can make hot air feel cooler.
How much electricity does the Lasko YF321 use?
Tower fans like this typically use far less power than air conditioners, making them an energy-efficient option for everyday cooling.
Why is my Lasko tower fan not blowing strongly?
Weak airflow is often caused by dust buildup, blocked air intakes, or overheating. Unplug the fan for 10–15 minutes and clean the vents before using it again.
Can a tower fan overheat?
Tower fans are designed for extended use, but overheating can occur if vents are blocked or dust builds up. Regular cleaning helps prevent this issue.
How do I clean the Lasko misting tower fan?
Turn off and unplug the fan. Wipe the exterior with a dry or slightly damp cloth and carefully clean air vents to remove dust. Avoid using water directly on electrical parts.
Is the Lasko YF321 good for bedrooms?
Yes, its slim design, quiet operation, and steady airflow make it suitable for bedrooms, especially during warm nights.
