Yishu 6 Ft Surge Protector Power Strip
OVERVIEW
- Note: THE UCB-C port is not a quick charger 3.0 and does not support any other devices that require 9~22V charging voltage.
Safety Notification
This product has an ETL safety certificate. But please pay attention to the following details
- The power rating of this product is 1250W, please make sure not to exceed this limit.
- When the power rating of the device is over 1000W, please directly plug into the existing wall outlet, we don’t suggest using the power strip.
- When the power is on, there will be a spark around the plugging point. This is a normal thing. To prevent this from happening, please power off the power strip and power on after plugging in the device. It is the same theory as no phone call at the gas stations to avoid the spark to cause safety problems. But it is safe to use cell phones elsewhere
- This product is only an outlet extender and cannot cause safety problems. But please make sure the plugged-in device has an ETL or UL safety certificate. Otherwise, it is easy to cause fire or other problems. This is common sense.
- Do not cover the power strip with anything to prevent overheat.
- Do not use it in a humid environment.
- Do not disassemble or modify it by yourself.

Yishu 6 Ft Surge Protector Power Strip-FAQs
What does a surge protector power strip do?
It functions like a regular power strip with multiple outlets, but also protects your electronics from power spikes caused by lightning or electrical issues. It helps prevent damage to your devices during voltage surges.
Does a surge protector use electricity even when nothing is plugged in?
Yes, surge protectors can still draw a small amount of power, especially if they have indicator lights or are powering devices in standby mode—this is known as “vampire” or “phantom” power.
What is the red button on the surge protector for?
The red button is a resettable circuit breaker. If the power strip is overloaded or there’s a short circuit, it will trip and cut power. Pressing the button restores functionality once the issue is resolved.
At what voltage does the surge protector activate?
Most surge protectors start working when voltage spikes above 330 volts. Lower voltage ratings provide better protection, as they respond faster to smaller surges.
How much power can the power strip handle?
The Yishu surge protector can typically handle up to 1,800 watts. Avoid plugging in high-wattage appliances like space heaters or microwaves to prevent overheating or fire hazards.
Can a power surge turn on my TV or other devices?
Yes, a sudden power surge may briefly cause your electronics to turn on or off. It’s best to use surge protection to avoid damage or unexpected behavior.
Do power strips or surge protectors still consume power when turned off?
If the switch on the surge protector is off, it generally stops drawing power. However, when it’s on—even if devices are off—it may still draw some electricity through connected devices in standby mode.
Will a surge protector work if there’s no power or it’s not grounded?
A surge protector won’t function properly without a grounded outlet. Without grounding, it cannot safely divert excess voltage away from your devices.
How do I set up the surge protector correctly?
Place it in an open, accessible spot near your devices. Avoid covering it or using extension cords with it. Make sure it’s close enough for your electronics to plug in directly.
