What features make the Hamilton Beach 62628 hand mixer stand out?

The Hamilton Beach 62628 stands out for its six mixing speeds, a slower Stir button, a 300-watt peak power motor, and included whisk plus beaters. It also has a snap-on storage clip and Bowl Rest feature, making it practical for everyday baking, mixing, whipping, and easy kitchen storage.

Is the Hamilton Beach 62628 powerful enough for baking tasks?

This hand mixer handles common baking tasks like cake batter, cookie dough, frosting, and whipped cream quite well. Its motor offers enough power for everyday home use, though heavier doughs may challenge it more than premium mixers designed for dense or frequent mixing.

What is the Stir button on the Hamilton Beach 62628 used for?

The Stir button runs slower than the first speed to reduce splatter when combining dry ingredients or gently mixing liquids. Many users like it for folding flour into batters or starting recipes neatly, making it a helpful feature compared with standard entry-level hand mixers.

Does the Hamilton Beach 62628 come with attachments?

Yes, the mixer includes two traditional beaters and a whisk attachment for multiple mixing tasks. These attachments are dishwasher safe and store on the removable clip underneath the mixer, which helps save space and keeps everything organized between baking sessions.

Is the Hamilton Beach 62628 easy to use for beginners?

The Hamilton Beach 62628 is beginner-friendly thanks to straightforward controls, lightweight handling, and versatile speed options. New bakers often appreciate the simple operation and practical extras like Bowl Rest and attachment storage, which make everyday mixing easier and less intimidating.

Can the Hamilton Beach 62628 mix thick batters and dough?

It performs well for many batters and moderate mixing jobs, but very dense doughs may be better suited to stronger or premium mixers. For cookie dough, mashed potatoes, and thicker mixtures, it generally works well when not pushed beyond typical handheld mixer expectations.

Is the Hamilton Beach 62628 easy to clean and store?

Cleanup is simple because the attachments are dishwasher safe and eject easily after use. Storage is another strong point, thanks to the snap-on attachment clip that keeps accessories together, helping avoid lost beaters and reducing clutter in small kitchen spaces.

How many speed settings does the Hamilton Beach 62628 have?

This model offers six standard speeds plus the slower Stir function, giving flexibility for everything from gentle folding to whipping cream. The range allows users to adjust speed for different recipes, which adds more control than many basic hand mixers in the same category.

Is the Hamilton Beach 62628 good for everyday home baking?

Yes, it suits everyday home baking especially well, particularly for occasional to moderate use. It works for common recipes like brownies, frostings, pancakes, and cakes, making it a practical choice for home cooks who want convenience without investing in a larger stand mixer.

Who should buy the Hamilton Beach 62628 6-Speed Hand Mixer?
