Button

On-Off Slide Switch:

Slide switch ON or OFF to control the device’s power, turn on or turn off.

Bluetooth Connect Button:

The ON/OFF switch is already in the ON position. Press the [Connect] button; the keyboard is now ready to be connected to your device.

Status Light

CAPS Status Light:

Press the [Caps Lock] button, and the Caps Lock function will be on, and the Caps Lock Status will be illuminated. Sometimes the light will not be on, but the function is valid for some Android systems.

Bluetooth Status Light:

Press the [Connect] button, the [Status] light will blink blue, and the indicator light will stay on until the keyboard connects with your device.

Charge Light(red):

Turn on when charging, turn off when fully charged.

Battery Status Light:

Slide the power button on. The blue light will illuminate for 4 seconds and then turn off to save power. Your keyboard is still on. The power light will be blinking due to a low battery.

Note: In the Windows system, press F1-F12 to have F1-F12 function, press Fn+F1 to F12, the function will be the function shown on the icon. For example, Fn+F1 (Vurtual Keyboard), Fn+F2 (Select All), Fn+F3 (Copy), Fn+F4 (Paste), Fn+F5 (Mail), Fn+F6 (Search), Fn+F7 (Switch Language), Fn+F8 (Previous Track), Fn+F9 (Play/Pause), Fn+F10 (Next Track), Fn+F11 (Volume Down), Fn+F12 (Volume Up).

Steps of Pairing the Keyboard with Your Device

Step 1:

On the keyboard, slide the power button on. The blue power light will illuminate for 4 seconds and then turn off to save power. Your keyboard is still on.

Step 2:

Press the [Connect] button, and the status indicator will blink blue.

Step 3:

On your device, select: Settings – Bluetooth – On.

Step 4:

Your device will display “Bluetooth keyboard 3.0″ as an available device.

Step 5:

Select “Bluetooth keyboard 3.0″ on your device, and the keyboard is paired to your device now.

Step 6:

Press Fn+Q if your device is iOS; press Fn+W if your device is Android; press Fn+E if your device is Windows.

Notice:

If you didn’t finish step 6, some Windows systems or Android systems might not use the keyboard properly. In this situation, you might disconnect the keyboard and click “Forget This Device” in the Bluetooth list and connect this keyboard following steps 1-6 again.

Fn+Function Keys Notice

Provide shortcuts to useful functions. First, press and hold the Fn Key; second, press the function key you want to use.

  1. Press the Fn+ Arteck HB030B Bluetooth Keyboard-4 light key once to turn on the backlit, press a second time to enhance the backlit, and press the third time to turn off the backlit.
  2. Press Fn+Arteck HB030B Bluetooth Keyboard-4+PgUp or press Fn+Arteck HB030B Bluetooth Keyboard-4+PgDn to switch the backlit colors. This keyboard has 7 colors available to choose.

Charge the battery

Turn on the Bluetooth keyboard.

The Power indicator light (blue) will illuminate for 4 seconds and then turn off to save power. Your keyboard is still on. If the power indicator light keeps blinking, it means the battery is low. You need to charge the keyboard with below steps:

  1. Plug the Micro USB charging cable into the keyboard.
  2. Plug the USB plug into a computer or a USB power adaptor.
  3. Charge for 1-3 hours, or until the charge light is turned off.

Caution:

  • When not in use for a prolonged period, it is recommended that you turn off the keyboard to lengthen battery life.
  • When the power status light flashes, it is recommended to charge the keyboard not least 2 hours.

Energy-saving sleep mode

The keyboard’s long-life battery lasts for several months of normal use. The keyboard will go into sleep mode if left on and not being used; press any key and wait a second or two to bring it out of sleep mode.

Safety Caution

  1. Keep the item away from sharp objects.
  2. Do not place a heavy object on the keyboard.
  3. Away from microwave items.
  4. Do not force or distort the keyboard.
  5. Keep away from oil, chemical, or other organic liquids.

Cleaning

Clean the keyboard with water, alcohol, or alcohol based disinfectant.

Troubleshooting

  1. Make sure the keyboard is on (slide switch in “ON” position).
  2. Make sure the keyboard is within operating distance (within 10 meters).
  3. Ensure the battery storage has power.
  4. Make sure the Bluetooth on the tablet / PC / smartphone is on.
  5. Ensure the wireless keyboard has already been matched with Bluetooth.

Disposal of Waste Batteries

Insert a screwdriver between the plastic top and the metal case at the keyboard top or bottom, and pry up the plastic top and remove it completely. This action destroys the keyboard, separating the battery from the circuit board. It is your responsibility to hand this over to an applicable collection, and recycling will help to conserve natural resources and prevent potential negative consequences for human health and the environment due to the possible presence of hazardous materials in batteries and electrical and electronic equipment.
