Braun KF9079SI Multiserve Coffee Maker-FAQs
How do I start the cleaning cycle on my Braun coffee maker?
Ensure the carafe and filter basket are in place. Press the Clean button—once the light flashes, press the Brew button to begin. The cleaning cycle will take longer than a regular brew.
Does the Braun coffee maker turn off automatically?
Yes, it features Auto-Off. You can set the machine to shut off between 15 minutes and 5 hours after brewing. Press and hold the AUTO OFF button for 3 seconds to adjust the timing.
Why is the Clean light flashing on my coffee maker?
A flashing Clean light means it’s time to descale your machine to maintain performance and prevent buildup.
How much coffee should I use per cup?
Use 1½ to 2 tablespoons of ground coffee per cup. This equals roughly 10.6 grams per tablespoon. Avoid using instant coffee crystals.
How should I maintain my coffee machine?
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the group head, steam wand, descaling, and changing the water filter. If you’re brewing daily, clean parts weekly for best results.
Why does my machine display “Clean”?
A solid green Clean light means it’s time to run a descaling cycle. This helps remove mineral buildup and ensures optimal performance.
Are coffee makers easy to clean?
Yes! Most parts can be rinsed and wiped down quickly. Be sure to flush water through the brew head after each use and perform deep cleaning regularly.
What does “descale” mean for my coffee maker?
Descaling removes calcium buildup that collects inside the machine over time. While harmless, scale can affect performance. It’s recommended to descale every 3–6 months or when the descale indicator lights up.
