Established in 1907 by brothers Christian and Joseph Steidinger in Germany, Dual Electronics began by manufacturing clockwork and gramophone parts. The company introduced the “Dual-Motor” in 1927, a combination of a spring-loaded clockwork and an electric motor, which led to the adoption of the name “Dual” in 1935.
Over the years, Dual expanded its product line to include turntables, audio cassette players, VCRs, and CD players. In 2002, Namsung Electronics, a Korean company, acquired the rights to the Dual brand in the Americas, focusing on consumer electronics such as home, mobile, and marine audio systems.
