WARNING: KEEP ALL FLAME AND HEAT SOURCES AWAY FROM THIS CANOPY FABRIC.

This canopy meets the flammability requirements of CPAI-84. The fabric may burn if left in continuous contact with any flame source. The application of any foreign substance to the canopy fabric may render the flame-resistant properties ineffective.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

ROOF / SIDE PANELS / ELASTIC BALL STRAPS:

  • Gently clean with an environmentally-friendly soap solution and water using a sponge.
  • Do not use abrasive materials, wire brushes, chemicals, harsh cleaners, or bleach.
  • Rinse using a garden hose and air dry. If removed, ensure thoroughly dry prior to storage.
  • Do not use a pressure washer.

FRAME:

  • Gently clean with an environmentally-friendly soap solution and water using a sponge.
  • Do not use abrasive materials, wire brushes, chemicals, harsh cleaners, or bleach.
  • Rinse using a garden hose and air dry.
  • Do not use a pressure washer.
  • If there are nicks, chips, and scratches, go to your local hardware store or home center and obtain a closest match touch-up paint suitable for outdoor metal use. Follow the instructions that come with the paint.

WARNING:

  • For outdoor use.
  • This is a temporary structure and not recommended as a permanent structure.
  • This canopy is not recommended for severe weather conditions which include high winds and snow.
  • Remove the roof before severe weather conditions, including strong winds and snow.
  • Snow should never be allowed to accumulate on the roof.

PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY:

  • Choose the site for your canopy carefully.
  • The foundation must be level.
  • Keep away from overhead utility lines, tree branches, or other structures.
  • Check for underground pipes or wires if digging is required.
  • Do not install near roof lines or other structures that could shed snow, ice, or excessive rain run-off onto the canopy.
  • Assemble the canopy as close to its final location as possible.
  • A minimum of 2 people are required for assembly.

ANCHORING INSTRUCTIONS:

  • Proper anchoring of the frame is required for safety.
  • Any structure not anchored securely has the potential to fly away during high winds, causing damage and a safety hazard.
  • How the item is anchored and the hardware required will vary based on the setup location.
  • Do not anchor to pavers/pavement slabs because they are not a solid foundation.
  • It is recommended to use one of the following methods to anchor each post. See Page 7.
    1. Use the 8 ground stakes provided to secure the base plates if installed on soft ground. Tie the Olefin straps to each corner of the canopy roof and secure to the 4 remaining ground stakes.
    2.  Insert concrete bolts (not included) through all 8 base plates if mounting to concrete
  • Periodically check the anchors to ensure that they remain secure.

ROOF FRAME ASSEMBLY

Each bar (A, B) has a snap button for locking into the corner pieces. Insert bars into corner pieces (D, E). See diagram below.

POST ASSEMBLY -PART 1 & Canopy Roof Assembly

Insert posts (C, C1) into the corners on one side of the assembled roof. Spread canopy roof (M) over assembled roof frame.It may be easier to attach the end panels (P, Q) at this point. See “SIDE AND END PANEL ASSEMBLY” on page 5.Costco 781893 Steel Frame Canopy 5

POST ASSEMBLY-PART 2

Insert the remaining posts (C) into the corners on the other side of the roof as show in below diagram.Costco 781893 Steel Frame Canopy 6

There are hooks attached to the four corners of the canopy roof (M). Insert these hooks into the pre-drilled holes on the four corner posts (C). See diagram below. Costco 781893 Steel Frame Canopy 7

BASE PLATE ASSEMBLY

Insert base plates (K) on to the bottom of the posts (C) and secure using the nuts and bolts (L).Costco 781893 Steel Frame Canopy 8

SIDE PANEL ASSEMBLY

Attach the side panel with door (N) using the elastic ball straps (R) by securing to the roof cover drop-down section. See Fig. 1A and 1B on how to loop the elastic straps around the horizontal frame tubes to secure the roof cover to the side panels. Note: Side panel with door (N) must be attached to the side with posts (C1). Secure straps at each corner post on the inside of canopy to the posts (C). Repeat above steps to secure side panel (O).

END PANEL ASSEMBLY

Attach end panels (P&Q) to the incline bars using the elastic ball straps (R). See Fig. 2A and 2B on how to loop the elastic straps around the frame tubes to secure the drop-down section of roof cover to the two end panels.

FINAL ASSEMBLY

  2. Secure adjacent panels with hook and loop fasteners on edge of each panel.Costco 781893 Steel Frame Canopy 11
  3. Secure panels to the posts with the 3 hook and loop fasteners attached to the side panels.Costco 781893 Steel Frame Canopy 12
  4. Insert the hooks into the pre-drilled at the bottom of each post (C, C1).Costco 781893 Steel Frame Canopy 13
  5. Insert the elastic ball straps (R) through the grommet in the end panel, through the grommets in the roof canopy corner, then through the side panel grommet. Stretch the elastic band over the ball.Costco 781893 Steel Frame Canopy 14

ANCHORING TO GROUND ASSEMBLY

(There are 2 ways to attach this canopy to the ground)

Option 1: Assemble on grass or dirt. Secure the canopy to the ground by inserting 8 ground stakes (S) through each base plate (K). Then, tie the Olefin strap (T) to each corner of the canopy roof (M) and secure to the 4 remaining ground stakes (S).Costco 781893 Steel Frame Canopy 15

Option 2: Assemble on concrete. A drill, ½ inch drill bit, and an adjustable wrench (not included) are needed for this option. Secure the canopy to the concrete surface using the 8 expansion bolts (V). Mark the location on each base plate (K) where you will need to drill into the concrete. Move the base plate then drill a hole the same length as the expansion bolts (V). Replace the base plate (K) and secure using expansion bolts (V).Costco 781893 Steel Frame Canopy 16

AWNING ASSEMBLY
