Troubleshooting
Eggs are overcooked.
- Have you used medium or small eggs? This product works best with large eggs. Follow the water recommendation for one less egg than what you are cooking.
Eggs are undercooked.
- Not enough water was in the Water Reservoir. Add additional water.
- Did you use extra-large or jumbo eggs? This product works best with large eggs.
Eggs are slightly brown on the shell after cooking.
- Different types of water may discolor eggshells. Eggs are safe to eat.
Eggs are difficult to peel.
- Very fresh eggs can be difficult to peel. It is easiest to peel eggs that have been refrigerated for 1 week to 10 days. To peel an egg, crack the shell all over by gently tapping the egg on a table or countertop. Roll the egg between your hands to loosen the shell. Then peel off the shell, starting at the large end. Hold the egg under running water or dip it in water to make peeling easier.
