You can connect the monocular to your smartphone using the HIKMICRO Sight app via WiFi. Once connected, you can stream, control, and record directly from your phone.
Q2. How does a thermal monocular work?
A thermal monocular detects heat instead of visible light. It uses a microbolometer sensor to capture infrared radiation and converts it into images that show temperature differences.
Q3. How far can the HIKMICRO LYNX Pro LH19 detect?
The LH19 model has a detection range of up to 897 meters and includes a Smart Range Measurement function for accurate distance calculation.
Q4. Can I use a thermal monocular during the day?
Yes. Thermal monoculars work both day and night because they detect heat, not light.
Q5. Can a thermal monocular see through walls?
No. Thermal optics cannot see through walls. They only detect heat on the surface of objects, not behind them.
Q6. Can it see through brush or fog?
Yes. Thermal imaging can detect heat signatures through light brush, smoke, or fog, though it cannot see through solid objects like trees.
Q7. How long does a thermal monocular last?
With proper care, a thermal monocular can last 5–10 years. The thermal sensor typically has an operating life of 40,000–60,000 hours.

Press and hold the power button until the display lights up. To turn it off, hold the same button again.
