- Note: Make sure the SYSTEM switch is set to the system you want to control (Heat or Cool).
Built-in compressor protection
- This feature helps prevent damage to the compressor in your air conditioning or heat pump system.
- Damage can occur if the compressor is restarted too soon after shutdown. This feature forces the compressor to wait 5 minutes before restarting.
- During the wait time, the display will flash the message Cool On (or Heat On if you have a heat pump). When the safe wait time has elapsed, the message stops flashing and the compressor turns on.
Battery replacement
- Batteries are optional (for backup power) if your thermostat was wired to run on AC power when installed.
- Install fresh batteries when the REPLACE BATT warning begins flashing. The warning flashes about two months before the batteries are depleted.
- Replace batteries once a year, or before leaving home for more than a month. Batteries provide backup power to the display during power interruptions. All settings are permanently stored in memory and do not require battery power

Honeywell PRO TH3000 Series Thermostat-FAQs
How do I reset my Honeywell T3 thermostat?
Go to the ‘FS’ (Factory Reset) option in the menu using the plus button. Press the button below the tick icon, change the number from 0 to 1, and confirm by pressing the tick button again.
What does T3 mean on my thermostat?
The T3 thermostat controls your heating based on a programmed schedule. It cycles your heating system on and off throughout the day to maintain the set temperature.
How do I manually test my thermostat?
1. Have someone stand near the thermostat and another near the furnace.
2. Slowly turn the thermostat from off to heat and raise the temperature.
3. Both the thermostat and furnace should make a sound, indicating proper function.
How does the Honeywell thermostat detect temperature?
It uses up to 20 wireless sensors to measure temperatures in multiple rooms, averaging them based on your preferences to maintain a comfortable environment.
Why is my Honeywell thermostat screen blank?
A blank screen may indicate an open furnace door, which causes the thermostat to shut off for safety. Ensure the furnace door is fully closed.
What is the difference between “Hold” and “Run” on a thermostat?
1. Hold: Maintains a set temperature indefinitely, useful when you’re away.
2. Run: Resumes the scheduled temperature settings.
What does “Wake” mean on my thermostat?
1. Wake: The time when you start your day and need heating or cooling.
2. Leave: When you leave home, and energy-saving settings apply.
3. Return: When you come back, and the system restores your preferred temperature.
How do I turn off the schedule on my Honeywell thermostat?
Press the up or down arrow to select your desired temperature, then press the Hold button to maintain it indefinitely.
How does a thermostat work?
A thermostat detects temperature changes using a sensor (like a bimetallic strip or thermistor). When the temperature shifts, the sensor triggers the heating or cooling system to adjust accordingly.
What is “Manual” mode on a Honeywell thermostat?
In manual mode, the thermostat maintains a fixed temperature instead of following a schedule. You can adjust it manually between 5°C and your preferred setting.
Why is my Honeywell thermostat not working?
Try these troubleshooting steps:
1. Replace the batteries
2. Check the circuit breaker
3. Ensure the indoor unit panel doors are closed
4. Verify that power is connected to your furnace or AC unit
