System Overview:

The IR2 Programming Station activates the IR2 Key, which is used to operate InVue security devices. An activated key can be used for up to 12 hours. When not in use, the key should be stored in the IR2 Charger. Charging will deactivate the key. The key will need to be reactivated before use.InVue PK4400 IR2 Smart Lock Security Key-1

  1. Connect the cable components of the power supply. Plug the 18-volt power supply into the charger and outlet.
  2. Confirm the green light is on. If the green light is not on, confirm that power is getting to the charger.
  3. Fully charge the key before moving to step 4. (See “Battery Indicator and Activation Lights” section: pages 10 – 13) Note: The Charger may take several seconds to recognize the inserted key. Once the key has been recognized, the battery indicator will light up. A completely depleted battery may take up to 3 hours to reach full charge.InVue PK4400 IR2 Smart Lock Security Key-2
  4. Plug the 5-volt power supply into the outlet and the programming station.
  5. Confirm the green light is on. If the green light is not on, confirm that power is getting to the programming station. Once the key has been fully charged, place the key on the programming station. Note: If the light on top is RED, the Programming Station is being used for the first time.
  6. Press the button and wait for the “beep.” Remove from the programming station. The key is now activated for 12 hours of use. Note: If double “buzz,” then a programming error has occurred. Try again. Note: A key is synced with and can only be reactivated on the Programming Station that was used to activate the key initially. BATTERY INDICATOR LIGHTS

(When the key is out of the charger)

Note: If the battery is “good,” the battery indicator will normally be off. It will only show green for several seconds when the button is pressed.

  • GREEN= Battery Good (continue use)
  • Flashing ORANGE= Battery Low (return to charger soon)
  • Flashing RED= Battery Too Low For Use (return to charger immediately)

ACTIVATION LIGHTS

(When the key is out of the charger)

  • All BLUE light = Up to 12 hours of activation left
  • 3/4 BLUE light = Up to 9 hours of activation left
  • 1/2 BLUE light = Up to 6 hours of activation left
  • 1/4 BLUE light = Up to 3 hours of activation left
  • All RED lights = Deactivated (return to programming station)

(When the key is out of the charger)

If no lights are present when pressing the button, return to the charger for at least 3 hours.

BATTERY WARNINGS

  • The key contains a lithium-ion battery
  • The battery is not replaceable
  • The entire device should be recycled at an approved center for rechargeable batteries
  • Use the IR2 Charger only
  • Do not immerse in water
  • Do not place in fire or heater
  • Do not disassemble, puncture, or pierce
