Precautions
To protect battery lifespan, fully charge at least once every 3 months. Battery life will vary due to usage patterns and environmental conditions. Do not expose the JBL Clip 4 to liquids without removing cable connection. Do not expose JBL Clip 4 to water while charging. It may result in permanent damage to the speaker or power source. After a liquid spill, do not charge your speaker until it’s completely dry and clean. Charging when wet might damage your speaker. When using an external adapter, the output voltage/ current of the external adapter should not exceed by 5V/3A. What do the buttons on the JBL Clip 4 do?
The volume up/down and play/pause buttons are on the front, above the JBL logo. Press play/pause twice to skip to the next track. On the side, you’ll find the power and Bluetooth pairing buttons.
How long does it take to fully charge the JBL Clip 4?
It takes about 3 hours to fully charge the Clip 4 using a USB-C cable. Note: it doesn’t support fast charging.
What does “JBL” stand for?
JBL stands for James Bullough Lansing, the founder of the company. JBL is well-known for producing high-quality audio equipment and speakers.
Can I take calls on the JBL Clip 4?
No, the JBL Clip 4 does not support phone calls as it doesn’t include a built-in microphone or speakerphone function.
Does the JBL Clip 4 turn off by itself?
Yes, the speaker will go into sleep mode after 10 minutes of inactivity and fully shut off after 20 minutes if no audio is played. It cannot be woken via Bluetooth—only with the power button.
How is the bass performance on the JBL Clip 4?
