OPERATION
Preparation
Choose the appropriate detergent as well as the most suitable concentration. Defoamer should also be used to eliminate foam in the recovery tank and extend the service life of the suction motor. Add detergent into the front solution fill port first, then add clean water. If you need to use tap water, you can insert the tap water pipe into the water inlet on the front of the machine. Pay attention to the water level to avoid overflows.
Start of Cleaning
Before starting work, we recommend that you sweep the ground manually to remove large debris. This will help boost your working efficiency and protect the machine. Turn on the switch to see the current voltage of the batteries on the display. If the battery voltage is low, charge the batteries immediately before using the machine.
During the Cleaning Process
- Install either the pad driver or the brush.
- Lower scrub deck.
- Turn on the main power key switch.
- Turn on the brush motor switch.
- Lower the squeegee assembly.
- Turn on the suction motor.
- Open the solution valve.
- Set the self-propelled directional switch to the forward position (PS530-W22-UC only).
- Using the speed control knob, set the speed to the desired level (PS530-W22-UC only).

Note: When the float is engaged, the suction stops recovering the solution. When this happens, stop the machine immediately and do the following checks. Check whether the recovery tank is full. If it is full, empty the recovery tank. If the recovery tank is not full, check the vacuum hoses for blockage. If blocked, remove the obstruction/clean the hose. If foam is present, add a defoamer to the recovery tank.
OPERATION PRECAUTIONS / MAINTENANCE
Operation precautions
- Avoid stopping in the same place for a long period of time. This can damage the floor.
- When cleaning an epoxy floor, it is recommended to use a cleaning pad to avoid excess wear on the epoxy floor.
- The clean water tank should be kept clean to avoid blockage in the water valve.
- When the clean water tank is empty, be sure to empty the dirty water tank before refilling the clean water tank.
- For chemicals being used in the machine, be sure to use the recommended mixture rate to match the soil level of what is being cleaned. To avoid damage in vacuum motor, always add defoamer to the recovery tank.
- After each shift, be sure to fully clean the recovery tank and wipe down the machine.
- During cold-weather operation, be sure to fully drain the clean water tank to avoid damage to the valves caused by the water freezing.
Emptying Dirty Water Tank
Please follow all local regulations regarding the disposal of dirty water and chemicals.
- Turn off the main power supply to ensure that the machine is off.
- Open the drain hose cover and drain dirty water.
- Rinse the recovery tank out with clean water.
- If the machine will not be used for a long period of time, make sure to store the machine with the tanks empty and dry, and the battery terminal disconnected.
Regular Maintenance

Replacement of the brush and/or pad driver
To install the brush and/or pad driver, ensure the clutch plate is aligned with the driver motor coupling. Press the brush plate motor button, and the plate will be installed automatically with the rotation of the motor. The brush plate can also be installed manually. For inexperienced users, it is recommended to install the brush plate manually.
Replacement and maintenance of the squeegee
The squeegee is an important part of the machine and will gradually wear due to its friction with the ground. When the water suction efficiency is reduced, do the following checks.
- Check whether there are foreign objects in the plastic scraper.
- Check whether the joint of the squeegee and the hose is blocked.
- Check whether the angle between the scraper and the ground is appropriate (the angle can be adjusted through the universal wheels of the squeegee).
- Check whether the squeegee is seriously worn.
Both sides of the squeegee can be used for water suction; if both sides are seriously worn, the squeegee should be replaced. If the machine is used in a heavily oily environment, please purchase the specific oil-resistant squeegee.
- Turn off the main switch and remove the ignition key.
- Lower the squeegee assembly to the floor and remove the vacuum hose from the assembly.
- Loosen the two orange plastic wing nuts to remove the squeegee assembly.
- Unclamp the squeegee bracket to remove the front and rear strips.
- Install new squeegee blades and/or flip current blades and align the holes in the blades to the protrusions on the bracket.
- Place the squeegee metal retaining bracket onto the blades and clamp it in place with the locking lever.
- Place the squeegee assembly back onto the mounting bracket, securing with the two orange plastic wing nuts.

Maintenance of the Batteries
- Check the battery cables and connections for wear and replace them when necessary.
- The battery terminals should be kept clean and dry.
Charging the Batteries
- Bring the machine to a level surface.
- Ensure the machine is in a well-ventilated area.
- Make sure both the solution and recovery tanks are empty.
- Lift the recovery tank, locking it into the open position.
- Plug in the connector of the battery charger to the batteries to be charged.
- Plug the battery charger into the wall outlet.
- Normal charge time is 6 to 10 hours for a full charge.
Filter Maintenance and Disassembly
- Before checking the filter, ensure that the solution valve is in the off position.
- Remove the clear filter cap and inspect the filter.
- Clean and/or replace if needed.
- Reinstall the filter cap and turn the solution valve to the on position.

Storage Maintenance of the Machine
- Empty the recovery tank and wipe the surface of the machine with a dry cloth.
- Lift the brush/pad driver off the floor, along with the squeegee.
- Store the machine in a dry indoor place without the presence of flames, chemical substances, flammable gases, or liquids.
