IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

WARNING!: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury

  • FOR DRY UNITS
Electric shock could occur if used on wet surfaces. DO NOT expose to rain. Store Indoors
  • FOR WET UNITS
To avoid electric shock, DO NOT expose to rain. Store Indoors. Electric shock could occur if the power nozzle is used on wet surfaces.

When using this electric vacuum/blower, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following:

  1. DO NOT leave the unit when plugged in. Unplug from the outlet when not in use and before servicing.
  2. DO NOT allow the unit to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used around or near children.
  3. Use only as described in this manual. Use only the manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
  4. DO NOT use with a damaged cord or plug. If the unit is not working properly because it has been dropped, dropped into water, left outdoors, or damaged in any way, contact a service center of Powr-Flite®.
  5. DO NOT pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close door on cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. DO NOT run the unit over the cord. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.
  6. DO NOT unplug by pulling on the cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
  7. DO NOT handle the plug or appliance with wet hands.
  8. DO NOT put any objects into openings. DO NOT use with any opening blocked: keep free of dust, lint, hair, or anything that may reduce air flow.
  9. Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of the body away from openings and moving parts.
  10. DO NOT pick up anything that is smoking or burning, such as cigarettes, matches, or hot ashes.
  11. DO NOT use without a dust bag and/or filters in place for dry operation, and a wet adapter for wet operation.
  12. Turn off all controls before unplugging.
  13. Use extra care when cleaning the stairs.
  14. DO NOT use them to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline, or use them in areas where they may be present.
  15. DO NOT use where oxygen or anesthetics are used.
  16. DO NOT use an extension cord unless necessary. If an extension cord is used, then the wire size must be #14 or larger and should not exceed 50 ft. in length. The extension cord must be a three-wire type to ensure grounding protection.
  17. Replace damaged or worn parts immediately with genuine original equipment parts to maintain safety.
  18. This unit must be connected to a properly grounded outlet only. See grounding instruction. If your vacuum//blower has an outlet for a motorized power ozzle, always turn it off before connecting or disconnecting the motorized nozzle.

GROUNDING METHODS

This vacuum/blower must be properly grounded. If it should malfunction or break down, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electrical current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This machine is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and grounding plug. The plug must be inserted into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances. If repair or replacement of the cord or plug is necessary, DO NOT connect the grounding wire to either flat blade terminal. The wire with insulation having an outer surface that is green with or without stripes is the grounding wire. This unit is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit and has a grounded plug that looks like the plug illustrated in (Fig. A). A temporary adapter that looks like the adapter illustrated in (Fig. B&C) may be used to connect the plug to a 2-pole receptacle, as shown in (Fig. B), if a properly grounded outlet is not available. The temporary adapter should be used only until a properly grounded outlet (Fig. A) can be installed by a qualified electrician. The green color rigid ear, lug, or the like extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box cover. Whenever the adapter is used, it must be held in place by a metal screw.

NOTE: In Canada, the use of a temporary adapter is not permitted by the Canadian Electrical Code.

WARNING! Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or service person if you are in doubt as to whether the outlet is properly grounded. DO NOT modify the plug provided with the appliance. If it will not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.

Powr-Flite Wet/Dry Vacuum PF25-FAQs

What are the main specifications of the Powr-Flite Wet/Dry Vacuum PF25?

The PF25 is a heavy-duty 20-gallon wet/dry vacuum built for industrial environments. It features a 2.5 peak horsepower motor, 94 CFM airflow, 84″ water lift, and a 15-gallon recovery capacity. It comes with a 30 ft power cord, a permanent cloth filter, and oversized 8″ non-scuff wheels, making it capable of handling large jobs efficiently.

Can the PF25 handle both wet and dry debris effectively?

Yes — the PF25 is designed for both wet liquid pick-up and dry debris collection. Its by-pass motor design allows moist or dirty air to bypass the motor for safe wet pick-up, while a permanent cloth filter supports dry vacuuming. A float cage helps prevent liquid from reaching the motor when the tank is full.

What kind of construction and durability features does the PF25 have?

This model is built for longevity with a 20 gauge heavy-duty stainless steel tank and double-sealed motor bearings that keep moisture and dirt out — the primary causes of motor wear. Reinforced steel dolly and oversized wheels make it rugged enough for commercial jobs, even on stairs or uneven surfaces.

What accessories are included with the PF25?

Although this model weighs around 75 lbs, its reinforced all-steel dolly and 8″ non-scuff rear wheels make it easier to transport around a facility or job site. It’s designed for steady maneuverability across floors, thresholds, and stairs without sacrificing stability.

How portable is the PF25 for job-site use?

Although this model weighs around 75 lbs, its reinforced all-steel dolly and 8″ non-scuff rear wheels make it easier to transport around a facility or job site. It’s designed for steady maneuverability across floors, thresholds, and stairs without sacrificing stability.

Is the PF25 suitable for commercial or industrial environments?

Absolutely. The PF25 is rated for constant industrial vacuuming, with construction and performance specs that make it well-suited for construction clean-up, warehouse maintenance, and other professional environments that demand durable equipment.

How does the PF25 compare to smaller or larger Powr-Flite wet/dry vac models?

Compared to smaller units, the PF25 offers greater capacity, heavier build quality, and more suction power for industrial jobs. Larger dual-motor models provide even higher airflow and water lift for very large spaces but at a higher cost — the PF25 strikes a balance between capability, durability, and value.

Can I use this vacuum with additional Powr-Flite accessories?

Yes. The PF25 has an external power plug and bayonet-style vacuum intake that support optional accessories such as Powr-Flite’s power nozzle and other compatible cleaning tools, which can expand its versatility for specific tasks.

What kind of warranty coverage comes with the PF25?

The PF25 includes a standard 1-year warranty covering motor, parts, and labor. This ensures support for most manufacturing defects and early-life issues, but always confirm warranty terms with your seller, as they may vary slightly by region or distributor.
