This appliance is intended for household use only. WARNING Electrical Shock Hazard: This appliance is provided with a polarized plug (one wide blade) to reduce the risk of electric shock. The plug fits only one way into a polarized outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose of the plug by modifying the plug in any way or by using an adapter. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, have an electrician replace the outlet. The length of the cord used on this appliance was selected to reduce the hazards of becoming tangled in or tripping over a longer cord. If a longer cord is necessary, an approved extension cord may be used. The electrical rating of the extension cord must be equal to or greater than the rating of the appliance. How to Use Your Burner
NOTE: Do not use for more than 60 minutes in 2 hours.
- Always place the Burner on a flat, level, heat-resistant, smooth surface and in a safe area where it will not fall or be pulled on by the electrical cord. Provide at least 6 to 10 inches (15.2–25.4 cm) of space above the unit and 4 to 6 inches (10.2–15.2 cm) of space around the sides of the unit for proper circulation.
- Plug into outlet and turn Temperature Control Dial to desired setting.
- For best results, use pots and pans that are the same size as the Burner and center the cooking utensil on Burner.
- . Always turn the unit OFF and unplug it when not in use.
Care and Cleaning
- When finished cooking, turn Temperature Control Dial to OFF ( ) and unplug. Let the Burner cool completely.
- Wipe Base, Heating Element, and Drip Pan with a hot, soapy cloth. To clean the Drip Pan, lift and tilt the Heating Element.
- After cleaning, food residues may be burned off the Heating Element by setting the Temperature Control Dial to the HI heat setting for approximately 5 minutes.
- Store the unit in a clean, dry place.
