  • Miter cut: The head is locked in the upright position. To unlock the table rotation, unscrew the miter lock knob(#11 in page 4). Move the table rotation to the left or right up to 45° left & 55° right. Quickly locate 0°, 15°, 22.5°, 30° and 45° left or right by the detent clicks at these angle settings. Tighten the miter lock knob at the desired angle.
  • Bevel cut: To unlock the head angle (bevel) adjustment, loosen the bevel lock handle at rear of the saw. Lock it when the blade is tilted at the desired angle. The table rotation is locked at 0°.
  • Compound cut: Unlock and move the table rotation to the left or right as in miter cuts above. Using the lever at the back of the saw, unlock the head and bevel it to any position from 0° – 45° left, then lock it in place.

MAINTENANCE

ALIGNING MITER AND BEVEL

Miters and bevels have been set at the factory. However, use may affect settings. Please use the following procedures when your tool needs adjustments.

  • Aligning Miter Angle
    •  Lower the head assembly and push in the lock pin to lock in the lower position. Make sure table is in 0° detent and tighten miter lock knob. Place a combination square (1) against the fence (2) and next to the blade (3) as illustrated. Locate the square properly so it does not contact the tooth of saw blade. The saw blade should contact the full length of the square. (Figure 1)
    • If blade does not fully contact the square, follow the fence alignment procedure.
  • Fence Alignment
    • The head assembly should remain in lowered position.
    • Using the supplied hex wrench, loosen the hex cap screws (4)(Figure 2) behind fence (2). (Figure 1)
    • Adjust fence until blade and the fence has full contact with the square.
    • Tighten hex cap screws.
    • NOTE: The combination square is not included and can be purchased at anv hardware store.Tool Shop 240-2077 Single Bevel Corded Operators-2

      • Loosen bevel lock handle.
      • Using an 11/32″ open-end wrench to loosen the hex lock nut (5) and then using a 1/8″ hex wrench to adjust the hex screw (6) up or down. (Figure 3)
      • When you have established the vertical stop correctly, tighten the hex lock nut (5) down to hold the setting.
