Working Principle

The Rangefinder uses a safe 905nanometer laser that is safe for human eyes, invisible and meets the standard of Class I.

  • First, calculate the time from emission to return after encountering the target object.
  • Second, multiply the time and the speed of the light together, then divide by 2 to obtain the distance of the target object.

Mode 5. Speed Measurement Mode

REVASRI 1000 yards Hunting Laser Rangefinder-12

Speed mode can measure the speed of the target object moving in radial motion. The speed of the target object moving in parallel cannot be measured because the distance from the rangefinder to the target has no change.

  1. Power on to start
  2. Press the mode button to Golf Mode
  3. Select the target object and aim the target indicator at the target object
  4. Long press the power button to enter the scanning Mode (Aim at the slope/background behind the flagpole)
  5. Move the Target Indicator from the background to the flagpole slowly. The flagpole is locked successfully; the rangefinder vibrates and displays suggest hitting distance
  • When the slope is positive, play distance will be greater than sight distance.
  • When the slope is negative, play distance will be less than sight distance.

REVASRI 1000-Yard Hunting Laser Rangefinder-FAQs

How does a laser rangefinder work?

A laser rangefinder measures distance by sending a laser beam to a target and timing how long it takes to reflect back. The device calculates the distance based on that time.

Why is a rangefinder useful for hunting?

A rangefinder gives you accurate distance to your target, helping you make confident and precise shots with a rifle or bow. It removes the guesswork from aiming.

How accurate is the REVASRI laser rangefinder?

This rangefinder offers high precision, with accuracy typically within ±1 yard, even at distances up to 1000 yards.

How does focusing work on a rangefinder?

Rangefinders use a beam-splitter to combine two images—one fixed and one adjustable. You align these images to focus and determine distance accurately.

Can laser rangefinders work at night?

Yes, laser rangefinders can function in low-light or nighttime conditions, especially if there is some ambient light like moonlight or artificial lighting.

What wavelength does a rangefinder use?

Most rangefinders operate at wavelengths of either 905 nm or 1550 nm, with 905 nm being more commonly used in consumer models for its cost efficiency.

Where should I aim the rangefinder?

To measure distance, aim the rangefinder directly at your target (like a flag or game animal) and press the button to get a reading based on the laser reflection.

What are the main benefits of using a rangefinder?

Rangefinders offer a clear, wide field of view, faster distance measurement, and help anticipate your target’s movement—ideal for both hunters and photographers.

Which is better: a GPS or a rangefinder for distance measurement?

Rangefinders provide more precise, real-time distance measurements, which is why many hunters and golfers prefer them. GPS devices offer quicker general readings but are often less exact.
