Assembly
Assembly Steps
Unpack
Place the frame on a flat surface such as a table or countertop. The front of the frame has a button in the top-left corner.
Place the Tray in the Frame
Make sure that the tray rests flat in the frame. The front of the tray has a clear window on the left side.
Place the Pump in the Tray
Gently push down the Pump to engage the suction cups. Place the circular foam filter around the Pump, and compress it slightly to center it. Do not force one side. The clear tube attached to the Pump rests in the cutout shown.
NOTE: Make sure the clear Pump Outlet Tube rests in the cutout as shown.
Place the Tray Lid
Gently place the tray lid and service door on the standoffs within the tray. Refer to the image for placement reference. If either is sticking out or not flush with the standoffs, please see the note highlighted in green.
NOTE: If your Clear Tube arrives uninstalled, gently press the shortest end into the top of the pump. There are notches on the Service Door, and on the left Wooden Upright accommodates the Pump cable. This cable tucks into a channel on the back of the Wooden Upright. If possible, rotate the Service Door image 90 degrees to be in the same orientation as the garden
Fill with water
Open the service door. Using cold tap water, fill the Tray up to the max fill line on the rear window.
Power up
Plug the Pump into the socket labeled “Pump” on the underside of the top of the Garden, to the left of the lights. Plug the Wall Adapter into the flexible Power Cable hanging off the back of the Garden.
You should know…
LIGHT BUTTON
Your light button can be pressed once to dim your lights to 50%, then again to turn them off. If you press and hold your light button, your pump will run for 5 minutes.
CARE LEVEL LIGHT
Your Care Light starts blinking when it is time to add nutrients to your Garden. It will turn off once you complete the Care process on your app.
WATER LEVEL LIGHT
Your Water Level Light starts blinking when you get low on water. It also blinks if your pump is not working or is unplugged from the Garden.
WIFI STATUS LIGHT
This light will be solid Red when it is ready to connect to WiFi and change to solid Green when successfully connected to WiFi. It will turn itself off automatically following a successful connection.
It will blink Red if your WiFi password is incorrectly entered, and blink Green if it is unable to successfully connect to your wireless network.
WIFI BUTTON
Press this button once to start setting up WiFi. Press and hold for 10 seconds to restart the WiFi setup process.
WATER PUMP
Your water pump runs for 5 minutes every hour to increase oxygen to your plants, decrease algae growth, and help mix your nutrients. When you add nutrients through your app, your pump will also turn on. When your water level gets low, your pump automatically shuts off to stop it from burning out. When this happens, your Water Level Light will start blinking.
CAN’T CONNECT TO WIFI
If you are unable to connect your Garden to WiFi or do not want to connect your Garden to WiFi, you will still be able to grow! Your Care Light will not remind you to add nutrients, so you will have to remember to add nutrients once a week.
When you do add your nutrients without WiFi, you must press and hold your light button to run your pump so your nutrients mix into your Garden properly. Your Garden will stay on 1616-hourr light cycle without WiFi. Your 16-hour light cycle will begin the moment that you plug in the garden, so make sure to plug it in when you’d like your light cycle to start (we’d suggest 7:00 am – 11:00 pm).
Using the App
Download the App
- Download the Rise Gardens app from the App Store or the Google Play Store. Search for “Rise Gardens.”
- Create an account and add your Personal Garden and Nursery if you have one.
- Follow the instructions in the app to connect your garden to your home WiFi.
How to calculate your Nutrients
To calculate your nutrients, our app needs to know:
- Which plants are you growing?
- How many plants are you growing?
- How old are your plants?
Know your plants
By adding all your plants to your Garden, you can:
- See what’s currently in your Garden.
- Look at each of your plants´ profiles to see what to do during every stage of growth.
- Know when your plants are ready to harvest!
Wi-Fi-based smart Garden
Your app can also control your Garden’s smart features:
- Lights can be turned off from your phone.
- Water level notifications.
- Automatic install of all future updates to your Garden’s software.
