SETTING THE PROCEDURE FOR THE CLOCK

Before inserting the 2ì AAi batteries into the battery compartment

  1. Slide the Time Zone switch to the correct time zone.
  2. Press the DST button to turn on the DST function if your area observes DST.
  3. Once all the above is completed, insert 2 x AA/ LR6 batteries (preferably alkaline batteries) into the battery compartment, following the polarity as shown on the diagram inside the compartment.
  4. The clock will fast forward to the correct time.

Note: Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries, only batteries of the same or equivalent type as those recommended are to be used. Do not mix new and old batteries.

OPTIONAL MANUAL TIME SET FUNCTION

  1. Press and hold the TIME SET button, and the hour digit will start flashing.
  2. Press the UP or DOWN button to advance to the correct hour.
  3. Press the TIME SET button again, and the minute digit will start flashing.
  4. Press the UP or DOWN button to advance to the correct minute.
  5. Press the TIME SET button again to confirm the setting.

OPTIONAL MANUAL CALENDAR SET FUNCTION

  1. Press and hold the CAL. SET button, the year digit will start flashing.
  2. Press the UP or DOWN button to advance to the correct year.
  3. Press the CAL. SET the button again, the month digit will start flashing.
  4. Press the UP or DOWN button to advance to the correct month.
  5. Repeat the above steps for date and language, and press the CAL. SET the button again to confirm the setting.

TEMPERATURE DISPLAY

  • The temperature displays the indoor temperature. At any time, we switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit by pressing/C/F button.

12/24 HOUR DISPLAY

  • Press the 12/24 button to switch between 12-hour and 24-hour display modes.

DST FUNCTION

  • If you live in an area that does observe DST, press the DST button to turn on the DST function. The clock will now adjust automatically each spring and fall to correct for the 1-hour time change.
  • If you live in an area that does not observe DST, such as Arizona, Hawaii, or parts of Indiana, you do not need to make any settings.

REPLACING 3V LITHIUM BATTERY

The Accu-Set time memory is maintained by a lithium button cell battery, model CR2032. The expected life of this battery is about 3 years. Be sure that the two AA/LR6 batteries in the clock are fresh. This battery is located in the small battery compartment. Open the lithium battery compartment with a screwdriver and replace the CR2032 lithium battery observing the polarity. Then, close the compartment.

MAINTENANCE

  • The batteries should be replaced if the display screen or alarm becomes dysfunctional or weak.
  • Please use a soft cloth to clean the clock.
  • Do not use any corrosive cleanser or chemical solutions on the clock.
  • Do not expose to water or outdoors, this is for indoor use only.

RESET

  • If the clock display does not work during setting, please check that batteries are in battery compartment completely nd correctly with battery polarity as shown on the diagram. If this doesnit work, use a slim but blunt object e.g. toothpick etc. to press RESET hole, then the clock will return to the initial mode.
