Steam Your Garments
Steaming your clothes is easy, and you will find your own way. Here are some of our recommendations.
- Hang your garment on a separate hanger.
- Push the steam head firmly against the fabric while steaming.
- You may stretch the fabric while letting the hot steam pass through it.
- For sensitive fabrics such as silk or wool, we recommend you attach the fabric brush to the steam head (included in the package).
- To keep the fabric straight, you may want to grab the fabric hem while steaming. Use the wearable ironing tool to avoid burning yourself (included in the package).

Emptying and Cleaning Your Steamer
When water is converted into steam, residue of calcium and magnesium gathers in the boiler inside your steamer. When the steamer has been used for a while, these residues form a coating, which may reduce the efficiency and eventually damage your steamer. Therefore, it is important to descale your steamer once in a while. We recommend that you descale it every 20 water tanks. Descaling liquid is an acid that dissolves magnesium and calcium. By pouring descaling liquid (or any other similar acid, e.g., white distilled vinegar) and hot water inside the boiler, you will clean your steamer of these residues.
Descale your steamer by following the steps below:
- Remove the tank and the hose.
- Empty the steamer of water through the steam outlet.
- Pour 50 ml of descaling liquid and 100–200 ml of hot water into the opening under the tank.
- Tilt the steamer back and forth. When tilting the steamer, you will see brown pieces of magnesium and calcium in the water.
- Pour out the water through the steam outlet or tilt the steamer to the side.
- Follow this procedure a couple of times until the water is clear and no more brown pieces can be seen in the water.
Safety Recommendation
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or a lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
- Unplug the appliance during filling and cleaning.
- When the steamer is in use, the front of the steam head becomes very hot. Therefore, avoid touching the steam head when the steamer is in use.
- Under no circumstances point the steam towards people, animals, or plants, etc.
- The steam hose should be held vertically and preferably 1.2 meters over the steamer to avoid water accumulating in the hose.
- Use the steamer on even floors; otherwise, the steamer may risk leaking water.
- Do not fill the water tank with any liquid other than water.
- Do not use the steamer if the electric cable is damaged or broken.
- Remove the steamer from the electricity outlet when not in use.
- Children should not use or maintain the steamer.
- The steamer should not be used as a toy.
- Never place the steamer directly on a carpet.
- Always keep the Stratus Professional Steamer on a waterproof surface when using and storing it. Alternatively, empty your steamer when it is not in use. In rare cases, the steamer may leak; keep an eye on your steamer. Steamery does not assume responsibility for water-damaged floors or interiors.

Steamery Stratus Professional Steamer-FAQ
What is the Steamery Stratus Professional Steamer and how does it work?
The Steamery Stratus Professional Steamer is a vertical clothing steamer designed to remove wrinkles, freshen fabrics, and reduce odors and surface bacteria using hot steam. Unlike a traditional iron that presses fibers flat, this steamer gently lifts and relaxes textile fibers so they regain their natural shape. The steam treatment also removes shallow dirt and unpleasant smells, making garments look clean and presentable without frequent washing.
What are the main benefits of using the Stratus Professional Steamer?
Using the Stratus steamer saves time and effort compared with traditional ironing or repeated laundering. It releases powerful steam that smooths wrinkles, reduces odors, and removes surface contaminants, helping clothes stay fresh longer. The product’s upright design with wheels makes it easy to use on hanging garments, and its professional performance is suitable for frequent use in both homes and fashion environments.
What features set Stratus apart from handheld steamers?
Stratus stands out due to its large water tank and robust construction, allowing up to around 1.5–2 hours of continuous use without refilling. Its upright floor design includes a rod to hang clothes as you steam and four wheels for mobility. The steamer also includes accessories like a crease clamp and brush attachment, providing more versatility than smaller handheld models.
Can the Stratus Professional Steamer be used on all types of fabrics?
The Stratus steamer is effective on most fabrics, including delicate and heavyweight textiles, but caution is recommended with very delicate materials like silk. It generally works on cotton, polyester, wool blends, and other common garment fabrics. However, materials such as leather and suede are not recommended for steaming, as they can be damaged by moisture and heat.
How do I use the different steam modes on the Stratus?
Stratus typically offers multiple steam modes to accommodate different fabric thicknesses. Lower heat or steam output is suited for sheer and delicate fabrics, while higher settings are used for thicker materials that require more intense steam. Switching between modes is usually straightforward and lets you customize performance based on the garment you’re treating.
What accessories come included with the Stratus Professional Steamer?
The Stratus steamer package normally includes practical accessories such as a heat protection glove to prevent burns, an attachable clothing brush to help steam penetrate fibers, and a crease clamp for creating sharp folds. A user manual is also supplied to guide setup and safe operation, helping you get optimal results from the steamer.
How should I maintain my Stratus Steamer for long-lasting use?
To keep the Stratus performing well, use soft or filtered water if tap water is hard, and regularly descale the boiler to prevent mineral buildup. Always ensure the water tank does not run dry while operating and store the steamer on a stable, waterproof surface. Periodically emptying the tank after use also helps avoid internal limescale and maintains longevity.
Is the Steamery Stratus Professional Steamer suitable for professional use?
Yes, Stratus is positioned as a professional-grade steamer often used in fashion stores, styling studios, and by garment care professionals. Its larger water tank, durable brass boiler, and strong steam output make it capable of handling frequent steaming tasks, which suits commercial environments as well as households with high steaming needs.
How large and powerful is the Stratus Steamer?
The Stratus Professional Steamer typically weighs around 6 kg and features a 3.2-liter water tank that supports extended steaming sessions. Its power ranges around 900–1850 watts, and the boiler is built with solid brass to withstand frequent use. These specifications contribute to consistent steam output and reliable performance across different garments.
Does the Stratus Steamer help reduce washing frequency?
Yes, because the hot steam loosens wrinkles, eliminates odors, and reduces surface dirt and bacteria, users can often extend the time between washes for many garments. This not only saves water and energy but can also help preserve the look and feel of clothing by minimizing detergent stress and wash cycles.
