HTZSAFE 808A T804 Wireless Driveway Alarm-FAQs
How does the HTZSAFE driveway alarm work?
It uses motion sensors (typically infrared) to detect movement in your driveway. When something crosses its detection zone, the system sends a wireless signal to the receiver, which alerts you with a chime or alarm.
What can the driveway alarm detect?
The alarm can detect both vehicles and people. Depending on placement, it helps you know when someone or something enters your driveway or property.
How far will the HTZSAFE driveway alarm work?
The sensor can detect movement up to 30–50 feet away (depending on model and environment), and the wireless signal can transmit to the receiver up to 1/4 mile in open areas.
Where should I place the driveway alarm sensor?
Install the sensor about 3–4 feet off the ground, angled toward the area you want to monitor. Avoid placing it too close to busy roads or low to the ground where animals may trigger false alarms.
How do I set up the HTZSAFE wireless driveway alarm?
Mount the sensor in your desired location, plug in or power the receiver, and follow the pairing instructions. Once connected, test the system by walking or driving past the sensor.
Do driveway alarms work at night?
Yes. The HTZSAFE alarm uses infrared technology, so it can detect movement day or night, regardless of lighting conditions.
How do I prevent false alarms?
Place the sensor away from bushes, trees, or busy streets. Mount it at the correct height and angle to detect people or vehicles, while avoiding small animals.
What types of driveway alarms are there?
Passive Infrared (PIR): Detects body heat and motion.
Active Infrared Beam: Uses a transmitter and receiver to detect when a beam is broken.
Electromagnetic Sensors: Detect vehicles by sensing metal disturbances underground.
The HTZSAFE 808A uses PIR sensors.
How do I monitor my driveway more effectively?
You can combine the alarm with security cameras or motion-activated lights for an added layer of protection.
