USING YOUR COFFEE MACHINE

Using your coffee machine for the first time

Confirm whether any accessories are missing and that the equipment is not damaged. Then clean the inner parts following the steps below:

  • Remove all the protective materials and storage adhesives from the machine components.
  • Either lift the lid of the water tank, or remove it and open the cover and fill with 0.75 L of water (see Fig. 4).Delta Q Qosy Espresso Machine-4
  • Once the water tank has been filled replace it in the correct position (see Fig. 5).Delta Q Qosy Espresso Machine-5
  • Connect the electrical plug to the respective earthed socket.
  • Switch the On/Off general button which is located at the back of the equipment, to the ON position (see Fig. 6). The buttons on the control panel will flash (orange), and pre-heating of the equipment will start (around 90’’).Delta Q Qosy Espresso Machine-6

Extracting an espresso coffee

  • Check whether the water tank is filled with water. If there is no water in the tank, fill with around 0.75 L of water (see Fig. 4).
    • Note: The maximum capacity of the water tank is 0.75 L (Max.). The water tank must be filled up to the maximum level so as to reduce the frequency of this operation. The machine alerts if there is not enough water in the tank by means of a luminous alert message on the control panel buttons.
  • For further information about the meaning of the alerts and the luminous alarms, consult the “Alerts and Alarms” chapter (see Page 101). This machine may use water directly sourced from a plastic mineral water bottle. To this end, you must place the adapter for mineral water plastic bottles in the bottleneck which will serve as the tank. Then turn the bottle upside down and fit the adapter in to the tank base (see Fig. 9).Delta Q Qosy Espresso Machine-8
    • Note: The adapter for mineral water plastic bottles supports bottles with a capacity up to 1.0 L. Imperfect compliance with this action may damage the equipment.
  • Once the water tank has been filled and if it has been removed, replace it in the initial position and confirm that it has been correctly fitted (see Fig. 5).
    • Connect the electrical plug to an earthed socket. Switch the On/Off general button which is located at the back of the equipment. The water tank indicators, the extraction buttons and the control panel remain lit up (see Fig. 6).
    • The equipment then begins pre-heating. The buttons on the control panel will flash (orange), indicating that the equipment is pre-heating (see Fig. 7).
    • As soon as the control panel buttons stop flashing and alternate their orange colour to green, this means that pre-heating has finished and the equipment is ready for drink extraction (see Fig. 8).
  • Put an espresso coffee cup on the cup tray under the extraction nozzle (see Fig. 10).Delta Q Qosy Espresso Machine-9
