DoHonest V33 HD 1080P Baby Car Camera-FAQs
How does the DoHonest wireless car camera work?
It connects to your smartphone via built-in Wi-Fi, letting you view live footage and download recordings without removing the memory card.
How does a backup camera function?
The camera activates when you shift into reverse, showing a live video feed on your monitor that mirrors your rear view to help with parking and safety.
Why is my backup camera showing a black screen?
A black screen often means the lens is blocked—check for dirt, mud, or debris. Clean the lens to restore visibility.
What do the colored lines on the backup camera mean?
The blue lines represent your vehicle’s width and expected path. The red line is about 18 inches from the back of the car, helping you gauge distance.
Do car cameras need Wi-Fi to work?
No, but Wi-Fi makes it easier to access footage on your phone. Without it, you’ll need to remove the SD card and transfer files manually to a computer.
Will the camera work when the car is turned off?
Yes, if Parking Mode is enabled. It uses motion or impact sensors to activate and record short clips even when the car is off.
Do dash cams always record?
Not always. Some start and stop with the car, while others with Parking Mode and hardwiring can record even when the engine is off.
How do I adjust the rearview camera angle?
To change the angle, reposition the mount using washers or spacers between the camera and the vehicle surface, then secure it back in place.
