If you must use a Toaster, ALWAYS set it to the lowest shade setting; NEVER heat cracked, broken, or warped pastries; and NEVER leave it unattended. ® Pop-Tarts is a registered trademark of the Kellogg Co.

Care and Cleaning

NOTE: If the Toaster is used daily, the Slide-Out Crumb Tray should be cleaned daily.

  1. Unplug the Toaster and let it cool.
  2. Slide out the Crumb Tray, discard crumbs, and wipe the Tray with a clean cloth. Replace Slide-Out Crumb Tray.
  3. Wipe the outside of the Toaster with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleansers that may scratch the surface of the Toaster.

Troubleshooting

  • To remove food that becomes lodged in Extra-Wide Slots, disconnect the Toaster from the outlet and allow it to cool. Use a nonmetal utensil to loosen food from grill wires, allowing it to fall into the Slide-Out Crumb Tray. Empty the Slide-Out Crumb Tray daily.
  • Toasting is affected by the temperature of the bread. Room-temperature bread may toast to a medium color on a medium setting. The same type of bread that has been refrigerated may require a darker setting to reach a medium color.
  • While toasting, heating elements do not have to glow red to be working properly; food will still be toasting.
